Did you enjoy the game last night? What did you think of Ryan Dicksons performance? -
Why did Bradley Wright Phillips get a standing ovation FFS?

especially when he got booed in the first half, very odd. Probably the same ones that were singing "on the pitch, on the pitch" at the last game of the season and then booed anyone that did. Odd. -

It was most of the ground, why? The bloke is a div. -
Ironic considering he was booed at half time. The bloke was sh*t for us a a total cock and sh*t last night. I dont mind giving ex players that were good lads and put a shift in for us but he is one player who definitely should not have been given one.

Dont worry about the injury, i'm sure not having to queue for your pie softed the blow FFS

A ridiculous comparion, totally different sort of player, you cant even compare the two. To play that position you need to exceptional movement, control and mobility to create space for yourself. Le Tiss was able to play there because he was so skillful and his control so good he always apppeared to have time on the ball, which is what they say is the mark of a great player. Lambert would be at his best playing as a traditional centre forward like he did last season, no talk about him being better in another position then was there! The two best players we have for that role are Lallana and Gully, although Lallana is streets ahead in terms of consistancy and ability.
-
NOt mobile enough for that position.
-
Dont be horrible Sue, they'll give him a chance, they have an equal opportunities scheme.
-
I applied but they rejected my application, apparantly i managed to put my name in the right box on the application form, they felt i was over qualified.
-
I see he is shift manager, If you explain that the reason you are applying for the job is that you see yourself as a younger version of him and see him as an inspiration then maybe he might give you the extra hour here and there, if you dont ask you dont get.
-
Here you go Mikey, it could be you next. This lad works in the one in Swaythling and is a student, he could be your inspiration and role model. You've got a bit of catching up to do as he has been there 4 years now but within a couple of days i am sure you'll change the fast food industry forever with your business acumen. http://www.thisishampshire.net/news/8171712.City_burger_worker_is_the_best_in_the_UK/

I also did labouring and hod carrying one summer for my mates brother, £10 a day for about 4 weeks, about 16 years ago, f*ck me that was hard work. He was a slave driver, we'd been bumping out concrete blocks all day in 30 degrees of sun up some scaffolding, sweat pouring off us, we stopped of a quick drink and he starts shouting up the scaffold "i'm not paying you two to stand around, get on with some f*cking work" I could have thrown a block onto his f*cking head that day!!!! Good laugh though, meet some right characters and gets you fit and strong for sure. Give that a go mikey, if your pathetic, limp wristed, soft middle class body can handle that, it'll toughen you up lad. Teach you a few lessons that the world dont owe you a living as well when you see a 60 year old bloke who has been laying bricks all his life still grafting for £15 an hour.

I could see you working in Macdonalds. And if anyone takes the p*ss just show them your wad of Big Mac vouchers and gold stars, he who laughs last and all that.
-
What about Macdonalds? I seriously wouldn't rule it out. As for my job, i am an Account Manager for an IT Company, selling networking technologies, mainly Cisco.
-
Where is the Birbeck Tavern?
-
There is always Macdonalds as well. I know a lot of people are too arrogant to work there but again for a student it's good pay, discounted food and a lot of hours. A lad at the one round the corner from me won top burger flipper of the year or something and won a holiday and some money and vouchers, he was a student. You can make a fair few quid if you are prepared to work there. Plus the added advantage Mikey has is that they obviously employ people with zero social skills so he should walk in no problem.
-
Your 3 hours of lectures a week mean you could easily work 20 hours a week rather than lazing around all day being self indulgent. How much time do you spend on here a week for example? That isn't going to help you put food onthe table and get your degree. P*ss taking apart you should try M&S They pay well and they do a staff shop on a saturday where you get loads of decent food at a fraction of the price and it's nice stuff as well. When you are a student Mikey what you do doesn';t matter, easiest job which pays the best. Although you might stuggle with the social side of bar or shop work, you might be better off repairing books in a library or something, where you dont have to speak to people
-
exactly mate, i had 3 jobs when i was a student. I used to work thursday nights and saturdays until 10-2pm in Debenhams, did a pools round and glass collecting in a pubGot me at least £40 a week and that was 15 years ago. A bit more effort i think Mikey, 8 hours a fornight FFS! Nothing wrong with bar and shop work somewhere like M&S would be ideal for you, stacking shelves or something, you can get cheap food and clothes as well. Although as you said apart from shop work maybe you think that is beneath you?

Indeed, going back to that Euro 96 squad, Pearce, Adams, Southgate, Platt & Shearer have all had a go at management and non of them have exactly covered themselves in glory. I just feel that rather than the FA saying we need more black managers and making it an issue they should concentrate on just producing good english managers regardless of their colour, the average fans doesn't give a f*ck if a manager is black or white as long as they are good.

Oh look it's turned into one of those discussions again. I'd love to had had Di Canio here as a player, he was a fantastic footballer.
