Totally different players, Barnard is good but not in the same mould as RL, we couldn't play like we do with Barnard and Conolly up front, we need a big strong striker as cover in case RL needs a rest or gets injured we were lucky last season he didn't.

He just ****es me off, Gavin and Stacey was good, not side spiltting, but as much a story as a comedy. Everything else he has done has been chringing, his world cup show was embarassingly bad, his gameshow is only funny because of Freddie Flintoff and the other guests, i just dont get the national obsession with a fat guy who has made a living from comedy when he is no funnier than the average pub comedian, if he wasn't fat, would he be as famous?

The only 'celebrity' chefs that i like are James Martin and Simon Rimmer (?) off something for the weekend, they seem like proper decent down to earth blokes you could have a laugh with and seem just normal guys. The rest of them just seem like bellends who have jumped on the 'cooking for men is cool' bandwagon, especially that c*nt, Wallace, the classic example of this. Jamie Oliver just irks me, trying to be all ****ney when we all know he is a posh suburbs boy, rumour has it when he started out half of the recipes he used weren't even his.

I think i was about 24 when i started thinking that too!! Ended up prefering a friday night in my local where i could hear my mates talk and choose the music on the juke box! Went to Oceanas a few months ago and felt so old, went out in town after last game of the season and enjoyed it, still like the odd night out in town but they are an excpetion now rather than the old days of thursday-sunday nights, with the only gap between the drinking on a saturday being 3-5pm on a saturday when i was at the Dell/SMS!

and your contribution to this forum is side splitting.

I've always hated Jamie Oliver, mockey c***, with his s*it shows trying to teach fat uninterested norveners ****s how to eat stuff other than pie and chips. The thing that annoys me the most is the advert when he said 'alwight tiger' Greg Wallace is just a fat bellend, utter t*at on Masterchef and described himself as the cooking womans crumpet. Grade A c*nt in my book.

I appreciate excellence in sport, hence why i like Nadal and Federer (as tennis players go) their match last year (?) was incedible, even me, someome totally apathetic to tennis, enjoyed it. Andy Murray is not sporting excellence, best british male for a while yes, but that is like being the slimest bloke at weight watchers.

Your wife was a season ticket? How did you mange to rip parts off her to give to the turnstile operative every game?

If it were me and my first time i'd go round Europe, start off in Germany then through Eastern Europe and visit places like Auchwitz, down into Croatia, visit Split, back through Northern Italy, maybe a couple of days in Rome, then through to Cannes, Barcelona, back up through France and home, get a bit of everything that way.

I dont even think i've been in there since it became Rev, used to in the Lizard Lounge a lot though, used to often drink in there before games at the Dell too.
-
Lizard Lounge had windows all round and was on the corner, then the other side of the road was the Green House and also had windows all round it, which was opposite the Pensioners, The Academy was round the corner from there but that has changed its name on the couple of times since then, think it is called Reflex now.
-
Look at the spine of the team, only Schneiderlin worth a place now.
-
No, Orange Rooms used to be Simons Wine Bar going way back. Orange Rooms opened c2001. Green house is on the corner opposite Rev, which used to be and was better as the Lizard Lounge. Anyone remember Fez Bar which was upstairs? used to be good in there, nice and chilled out.

Hola! where have you been??

I dont know what you are all getting worked up about i am sure Huddersfield, Peterborough, Swindon, MK Dons are all saying similar things, all we can worry about is ourselves, we have the money, the infrastructure, the support, the team & the management for promotion, if we dont do it, its our own fault.
-
Take them all with a pinch of salt, you get idiots on all forums and we have our fair share, from one extreme with some claiming saints are better than and would beat England and Rickie Lambert should have been in the England squad to the other that because we haven't made 15 new signing yet we will struggle and not expect promotion. On paper both sides look strong, but you do seem to have a few 30+'s so will be interesting to see how they bear up over the course of the season, although the same can be said for us with Connolly and Jaidi, both top players at this level but wont player every game. Personally I think the top 3 will be Saints, Wednesday and Huddersfield, its just the order i am not sure of.
-
The top two place in this league wil be between them, us and huddersfield.

What has happened to Georgie?

Show me the link that proves that we signed more players with long names under this chairman that we did under Lowe. Want to meet up in the Chilworth Arms for a 'chat'?
-
I dont see what point you are trying to make, no one he is saying he is the best right back in the history of football, just that it is a good signing. A player who has played his whole career at a higher level, was rated by his previous clubs fans and manager, can player in 3 positions and is experenced but not old. Is this not a good signing?
