im sort of with you. I've unfortunately had to quit crossfit for a number of reasons so just got a family membership at the local David Lloyd. First thing that pissed me off was the joining fee, £280 they wanted for 2 of us and 10 year old. When i asked them what it was for they couldn't really answer, so i told them they were charging me that much money to type our details into their system. I refused to pay it as it was a rip off and left, they rang a day later saying they would waive the joining fee if we joined by the end of the month. When you're there there seems to be mainly two types of people, the posers, birds in full make up and lycra not doing much or blokes in vests posing in the mirrors round the weights, taking ages over every set, doing things like arms curls in the squat rack or pull ups, where they do barely half a rep, then taking selfies etc. Or people really out of shape who dont know what they're doing, spend ages walking on the treadmill doing no strength training and are prey for the useless PTs who rather than correcting peoples terrible form are posing themselves trying to impress the girls. (See Zone 2 cardio guy above) In the main commercial gyms are horrendous mainly because people are there to pose or think that if they spend an hour "doing cardio" then they can eat and drink what they want then get annoyed when they dont lose weight and give up. The wacky names they give to shit classes like "cyclone" for spinning and the simple fact there is so much bullshit about the health and fitness industry to try and sell stupid people the next easy fix for their weight loss.

I've worked with them on and off for a while. Quite a slow, clunky organisation but the area i deal with they are pretty efficient and knowledgeable, it's a huge organisation of course so sure there are some passengers like all companies of that size. We are however quite a small part in the other solutions they deliver so i cant really comment on other areas.

Going to be an interesting summer whatever division we are in. Promotion will surely mean quite a few upgrades to the team, staying in this league means we will probably lose at least 7-8 players with less money to replace them meaning either way we are going to be in another period of most of our team having to learn the systems. I am concerned if we play this way in the premier league we will get quite a few hammerings given the better pressing, counter attacking and we wont dominate the ball like we do now. But hopefully we'll get relegated so we can have another crack at winning the championship.

People describing very simple things with jargon and bullshit, usually to either sell you something or sound clever. For example i heard a PT in the gym yesterday telling a guy in his fifties he needed to increase his zone 2 cardio and went on at great length to tell him what it was and the benefits, he may have told him what to actually do but the poor fella was probably paying £40 a hour for some gimp to tell him in bellend speak it was probably a good idea to go out for a brisk walk once a day. Just tell him to go for a walk FFS

Yes we've always had that problem and now we've moved to a village surrounded by fields its worse. They bring in mice and other small rodents, frogs & birds alive and leave them in the house, the mice round and hide and you find them dead somewhere, we found a bird hiding in our indoor lemon tree in the summer, still alive FFS. Even worse they bring in large dead rats and leave them on just inside the front or back door, usually to be found first thing in the morning which is particularly vile.

I hope we avoid Maidstone as i understand it is one of the most dangerous places on the planet.

they dont really have a useful life. Shit pointless pets, arrogant, sleep all day and all they do is eat and scratch the carpet, occasionally the boy ones will spray everywhere if they think another cat is trying to stroll around unchallenged on their manor. We've had cats for as long as Mrs Turkish and I have been together and i cant think of any reason why people would want one as a pet.

We drew Preston, Huddersfield, Watford, Norwich, Coventry, Rotherham. It’s only really the Preston game you could say we were fortunate as it was an injury time equaliser but we were the better team for 80 minutes in that one too. We should have won all the others.
