  1. I quite agree, the only songs that should be sung at football are ones that are non offensive. "OWTSGMI" should be banned in case it upsets protestants, muslims or jews. "Red and White Army" is out too, has racist overtones and might upset any none white fans as they will feel excluded from the army. "Come on you Reds" Is factually incorrect, we play in Red White and Black, however "come on you red white and blacks" should not be sung in case it offends any none red, white and black fans. (although good to see Gingers with their red faces included in a chant for once) And as for "Rickie Lambert, Southamptons goal machine" He does not stand just over 6ft 3, yes he wears the shirt of Matt Le Tiss, but what about all the other number 7's we have had, how much they feel?and finally and most worryingly, he is quite clearly not a machine and he could be upset that we are comparing him to something that has no feelings or emotions, imply he is cold hearted, or even not a real person. How would you feel if someone accused you o that? NO wonder he has been sh*t this season, i blame the song.
  2. I agree, also people who this they are so funny that they put hialrious quips on the majority of threads on internet forums.
  3. i give my incumbent £2m out of my £56m fortune if it meant she'd f*** off.
  4. You can always bank on a few people to take any lightheartedness out any thread.
  5. are they as funny and original as "who" being shouted everytime the away team makes us sub, you were all congratulation yourselves on how hilarious this was a few weeks ago. Being at St Marys is one long lolathon. There is not wit and terrace imagination with the chants these days, just the same bland sterile chants with everyone desperate to sing it as quickly as they can and the 1,000,000 mph clapping drowning out any words.
  6. I'd prefer we went for leading light from League 1 personally, even though Peterborough were sh*te i liked the look of Mackail-Smith on saturday, looked a handful and got a few goals this season.
  7. Brighton are without 4 players due to suspension tomorrow and also missing Lua Lua due to his injury. They are also hitting a bit of sticky form, drew saturday, needs pens against Woking last week and lost away to Hartlepool, they are there for the taking tomorrow, if we play well we win, its all there for us.
  8. describe yourself as a Bon viveur, no one will have a f*cking clue what you are talking about, you'll make yourself not only look really intellegent and cultured, but cover over being a lazy, greedy c*nt with a bit of flash spin.
  9. I used to work in recruitment, it was hilarious some of the s*** on peoples CV's One guy listed his attributes under his name and address one of theses was "steely blue eyes" another classic i have seen elsewhere was "a self taught, quite fast typist"
  10. lets hope it's not a let down, this is a big test as to how serious we are about going up.
  11. Thats nonsense, . They made a good point of Sky yesterday saying how football has evolved in the last 5 years and smaller more skillful midfielders like the kid at Villa are now getting more of a chance to play when 5 years ago you had these 6ft 5 built like brick s*it out midfielders who would kick them up in the air. It doesn't mean 5 years ago they were a s**t player, it just means the game at the moment is better suited to their style of play. "chopper" harris is a legend at Chelsea but these days he'd be sent off every week and wouldn't last 5 minutes at any top club, again not because he is a bad player but because the game is different now to how it was then. Do you think Ian Rush was a great striker? His record at Liverpool suggest he was, but he couldn't cut it at Juventus, not because he became a bad player, as his second spell at Liverpool proved, but that he was either not suited to Italian football or the way Juventus played. Even Anders Svenson, a superb player for Sweden, won over 100 caps at international level but never consistantly any good in premier league and clearly not suited to English football. Okay the very, very, very best players might be able to play in any country and perform, but the ones below that often struggle, look how many English players have been succesful abroad in the last 30 years, not many. MS is far from even being at this level yet and is still learning the game.
  12. the floor wipers killed me, 50kg barbell doing those was by far the hardest, apart from the pull ups which i have never been any good at.
  13. Time to beat is 18 1/2 minutes!!!
  14. what is it you do?
  15. give this work out a go, absolute killer, did it today (well kind of did) its the circuit they used training for the film the 300. One after the other, no rest between exercises. Pullups - 25 reps Deadlifts with 135 lbs - 50 reps Pushups - 50 reps 24-inch box jumps - 50 reps Floor wipers - 50 reps Single-arm Clean-and-Press with 36 lbs Kettlebell - 50 reps Pullups - 25 reps
  16. I may be wrong but i am pretty sure he was told to sell before he can buy.....
  17. clearly not, but at the end of the day does he sign the cheques and have the final say yes or no?
  18. indeed he did, at home to QPR (i think) in a 5-1 win. Those were in the days when we used to win the first game of the season now and again.
  19. Jason Dodds home debut, a 4-1 against Liverpool, who were champions and a head and shoulders the best team in England. He out a great cross in for the first goal too.
  20. I absolutely agree with all of that. What you cant deny though is that he is a very good manager and has only failed in one place, which by coincidence was at a club with a habit of changing managers every 5 minutes and being tight fisted with transfer fees and wages.
  21. Horse for courses. Some players are just not cut out for English football, especially the lower leagues. Why do you think Veron, one of the best midfielders in the world 10 years ago didn't cut it in England? Likewise Hernan Crespo, Shevchenko, Rebrov, Forlan, the list goes on. MS is a very good footballer, but it doesn't automatically make him cut out for the hussle and bussle of L1.
  22. He may have then, but i am 99% sure it was during the summer before Gray was appointed too. I remember him saying they had a chat over a glass of wine and heard no more about it, at the time i really hoped he got the job.
  23. Didn't a certainly Bradley Wright-Phillips often get himself in those positons too? Only to miss 75% of the time, being in the right position does not make you a class player, you have to finish the job too.
  24. Transfer fees are irrelevant? Ask Roman Abramovic how happy he was to shell out £30m on Andre Shevchenko. Once again i have never heard it in recent years be the case when a manager decided on contracts and wages.
