For First time buyers involved getting your parents to help with your deposit seems to be the advice churned out by a lot of "experts!, which is all very well if they are rich enough, mine aren't! It seems for "normal" people you are screwed if you want to buy anywhere.

I find this whole "cover" thing hilarious. People bang on that we need cover in this that and the other position, accept that we wont get a player as good as our star men to come in and play second fiddle to them so accept that said "cover" player is not going to be as good. yet the very same people moan that our back up players are not as good as the ones they are coming in for! Haven't we got "cover" players already in positons like Wotton and Holmes? Player not as good as out first XI, bu can do a job coming on on as a sub or when we have injuries, Wotton didn't do too bad a job in the JPT final now did he. Yet these people although admitting that our "cover" players are not going to be as good as our first XI then complain that these guys who are adequate L1 players are not good enough! We dont need "cover" players that just sit in the bench in case of injuries, suspensions. What we need is options and a squad of 20-24 good players, including youngsters that can give us options, flexiblity and picked depending on the opposition & formation or one that can have an impact from the bench.

Last season however there was a big Echo driven campaign detailing how we were supposedly the new Millwall and the police were going to crush our "firm" maybe they assumed the lads in the itchen north would go to the fence and try to get at them through it, stand back filming and take out a load in one hit? DO Chelsea have another Drogba kicking his heels on the bench hoping for an injury so he can get a game, Spurs have Crouch, Defoe, Pavleyckenko and Keane, 4 very different strikers who get picked depending on the opposition and way Spurs are going to play. Adkins has said quite rightly, he wants us to be able to play different styles of play so there is no point having a poor mans Lambert to come of the bench for 15 minutes (who everyone will just slag off as being sh*t anyway if we did have one) If it was me i'd be looking for a quick, tricky striker too offer something different,que comments of Papa Waigo, get over it.

Dune thinks fans should be let out at the same time and they would all merrily shake hands and swap scarves or the away fans keeping quiet and going home unnoticed. In reality this is madness. I used to walk up past the away car park most home games and i remember in the championship big groups of Cardiff and Bristol City grouping together looking for a bit of trouble. Last season Swindon fans grouped together and walked back up Britannia Road singing anti Saints songs and there are numerous other occasions. This would be 100 times worse with Pompey, with not only them "mobbing up" but as many Saints also doing the same. Britannia Road would be a battle field.

I think we should mail him asking him to run a story of equvilent size to the ones with these lads names and addresses explaining why they were aquited and slamming the police for wasting public money arresting and bringing to trial five people when there was zero evidence against them. They were quick enough to praise them and critise those that were sent down. Although headlines of "Saints fans cleared of anywrong doing" "police waste taxpayers money in pointless trial" and "fans forum question police tactics as fans with no evidence against them are aquitted" are probably not the message they want people to read.

Like the guy who was aquitted last week when the only evidence against him was being on camera talking on his phone 15 feet away, even the conviction hungry Echo said that. how the f*** did that even warrant being arrested? That could have been anyone that was anywhere near the incident. Utter joke and a total waste of time. I really think in cases like this where there is no evidence whatsoever then the accused should be compensated. These guys have missed out on the JPT final and been banned from football for six months or so, plus all the stress just because they happened to be there. Its disgusting.

I dont get the whole thing with Milner, how is he worth £25m? I just dont see what he contributes, he is a competent player but that is about it. I've always been a fan of Carrick but he's never really been given a chance at international level. I think he is great at keeping the ball which is really important at international level and plays the role of sitting infront of the back four really well.
