reckon he'd try and resign Sam Gallagher? No joke, he'd suit us right now.

Andrew prefers someone with experience

4-0 city on a completely different level.

We could be the team that deny Man City the quadruple
-
Yeah some lower premier league clubs will give them tens of millions for their youngsters who have never played a game
-
Me too. The quality of football is different level. Them and the Arsenal team of 2000-2003 are probably the two non saints English teams I’ve enjoyed watching the most
-
I know people don’t like them because of the finances but they are a magnificent team. Been superb tonight again. Fantastic to watch

Twice As many league goals as Armstrong has scored in his whole time as saints

The anecdotes around Sam Edozie and Juan Larois Southampton transfer
Turkish replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
Just a weird signing. At the time we had Perrard and then Small and that young Spanish lad as young left backs and also brought that 17 year old in from Spurs. I know the Spanish lad has gone now but to pay £7m I think for an 18 year old left back to make it 4 left backs all 17 or 18 was really weird -
Courtois repeating his performance in last years champions league final at the moment

more anecdotes about their transfers than anything they've done this season -

why? What's he achieved as a manager that would have made it interesting.
-
And you mentioning it #triggered

You’re right actually. I saw the Everton game on his debut and he looked a handful, took his goal well. But bes really regressed I’m sure in part down to our strikers being stoppers rather than attackers. I’m not sure if he’ll get back to his Blackburn form, how many players are out of form for a couple of years and then suddenly burst back. Be interesting for sure

Why are we paying McCarthy £80k a week to sit on his arse for all but the last 3 games? Why do we keep picking Elyanoussi? Club is a basket case, dont rule any madness out.
-
he'd struggle to score less.

Adam Armstrong has committed his future to us
-
that's worth £400k to us in prize money.

The 2nd reply was at White Hart Lane wasn't it? My dad always used to talk about that, Southampton emptied for the day, loads of buses going up form the city, companies, factories and so on putting on coaches for their staff. White Hart Lane was about 80% saints fans. How different from todays nonsense.

I think you’re underestimating what a mess we are in. Although I’m no fan of Semmens and some of the current lot we are losing or have lost pretty much everyone in a leadership role in the club. The scouting team are useless and needs a complete overhaul, we will have a huge turnover of players and we need to bring in a manager capable of rebuilding the team who have been used to losing every week. No club goes into a season hoping not to be promoted I’m sure it is a priority but there is a huge amount of work to be done this summer therefore promotion next season is going to be a huge bonus rather than an expectation, I’m seeing next season as a rebuild before making a big push the year after

Certainly ticks the young and upcoming box
