  1. looks like our €5m winter signing will be moving elsewhere shortly Club in talks to sign Southampton defender - Only signed for Saints last week - Sport Witness
  2. that's interesting seems like you can get some good crowds there relative to the size of the town. I live in a town with a league 2 club which twice the size of Valenciennes but is dominated by a current championship club which most people in the town support. They've struggled to get crowds much over 4,000. I think the average attendance is only about 3k this season. It's great growth considering they were playing 3 leagues lower in front of a 200 people only 20 years ago but certainly dont think they'll be getting crowds anything approaching your level any time soon.
  3. Is that right that Valenciennes only has a population of about 40k but a stadium with a capacity of 25k? What's the potential to fill that with a successful team? I notice you're also relatively close to Lille and Paris so would assume a lot of people would support Lille and PSG in the surrounding areas?
  4. Hey Bro, he cooked against Swansea he’s gonna be sick against Manure and I’m not even joking bro.
  5. We did a boat trip from Seahouses out to the Farne Islands it was probably the wettest I’ve been, torrential rain never seen anything like it 🤣 seahouse is a bit of a dump compared to the surrounding areas but that pub in the centre with loads of little rooms is pretty cool and the curry house up by the round about near the coop is top notch
  6. If you go across to the coast Staithes is a very pretty coast side visit, Robin Hoods bay is decent and Saltburn is nice we often go there for the beach In the summer and the chippy near the pier is amazing it was on great places to eat with Fred Sirieux a couple of years ago
  7. Parts of Leeds are really rough and parts of the city centre best avoided but it’s had loads of redevelopment over the years and now great for shops and bars.
  8. Any tips mate drop me a message I’ve lived in Harrogate for 12 years and been coming up for 25 so know the area very well love Northumberland been there a few times with the family and do a golf weekend up there with the lads every year.
  9. That’s bang on. Tories were shit but labour aren’t exactly covering themselves in glory this weird rhetoric one side good other side bad and you can’t say anything negative about “your side” or good about the opposition is playground stuff
  10. I dont think anyone ever said they didn't, but there seems to be this opinion that Labour are infallible when as you point out, they aren't. They've taken over a mess but also made significant mistakes themselves
  11. But it could have had something to do with it? They could have got it wrong.
  12. Yep one is a evil, lying, self serving Tory the other is a lovely labour who are here to help everyone. Point remains though, if Truss single handedly crashed the economy in less than two months than it's entirely possible the current performance is something to do with labour who have been here six months.
  13. if people are accusing Liz Truss of crashing the economy with the policies she introduced in her few weeks in charge, which many people did, then it's not beyond the realms of possibility that in 6 months Labours policies may also have had a negative impact. But of course it would be ridiculous to suggest that in some peoples eyes. It's all still the fault of the evil Tories and we cant say anything bad about labour until 2030.
  14. Yeah there Ingleborough. We did Pen y Ghent pics below. Inglebourgh caves are well worth a visit. River picture is of the river through Settle which is great during the summer. Last ones are Brimham Rocks just a few miles from where we live, rock formation on the side of a hill well worth a visit. The rocks are cool but the views are spectacular can sometimes see RAF pilots in training flying below you in the valley as there is a base not far away
  15. :Lets have some perspective here, he had a good game against an awful Swansea team, it's the first good game he's had in nearly 2 years.

  17. The one about does he hope it has an effect our premier league performances was particularly daft. What’s he gonna say? No I hope it doesn’t and we carry on losing every week.
  18. Stupid questions really.
  19. Is their manager Russ’s former assistant? #philosophy
  20. He is, a really clever first touch to fool everyone including himself and rather than firmly placing the ball into the bottom corner like an average premier league striker would he tried to fool everyone by deliberately scuffing his shot to corner it was only half a foot wide of a truly brilliant goal
  21. Looking at Swanseas keeper Baz is going to have some serious competition for worst goalkeeper next season l
  22. Swansea are shite, but it’s two championship teams here, Sulemana has actually done something in a Saints shirt.
  23. Yeah I know all of those areas. we go up to Malham area a lot. We also go to Setttle area a lot during the summer. Last year we did a lot more walking and did one of the Yorkshire three peaks with my son and his mate which was great. They want to do the other two this year good to get them out on the fresh air and even better they want to do it no dragging them along In the bad weather here last week the staff got stuck in the Tan Hill pub for a few days, could think of far worse places to be stranded
  24. Although most people with even a basic understanding of the game can see it even the computer game and stats geeks can see that his stats last seaon I believe, despite us being the 4th best team, made him the worst goalkeeper in the championship which is quite an achievement after also being the worst goalkeeper in the premier league.
