Just wait for Newcastle to try and get this postponed. We are obviously one of the teams they will fill they can/need to overtake to stay up. Looks like Saint-Maximin and Wilson will be out for this along with a few others. Ralph said Adams tested positive yesterday so he’ll be out as well but Stephens and Lyanco should be back by them.

We need a few more stat geeks to point out X runs, X wickets, how many inches out the third slip was from the perfect position to field against a leg side spinner etc before we can really know what went wrong.

Well that was a nice surprise. Expected our usual half arsed performance and comprehensive defeat, even when they inevitably equalised just after half time it felt like we’d go on and lose 2 or 3-1. So great to get the win, especially after we’ve gone back into our old habit of throwing leads away. Nice bit of a gap now between us and the bottom 3, Beat Newcastle on the 2nd Jan and we should stay up fairly comfortably.
