  1. This x 1000 brilliant post Truth Passes Through Three Stages: First, It Is Ridiculed. Second, It Is Violently Opposed. Third, It Is Accepted As Self-Evident Russball has achieved stage one, when the fans start to turn to opposition then he will have achieved stage 2. Soon we will see the world turn to Russball as the new gold standard of soccerball and everyone will except he is a genius and he'll be up there with Cruyff and Guardiola as the revolutionaries of the game. then he will have created a new dynasty, the new normal, the global soccerball super power we all want us to be. Like Russball, it need patience but its incredible that people cant see what he is achieving here.
  2. another opinion piece passed off by you as FACT.
  3. Breaton-Diaz on paper looked a good signing. Scored a lot of goals in the championship, had a decent record in a woeful Sheffield United team, (although it turns out we might be worse) available at £8m is a good price. I thought he’d be a decent signing and still think he will be but it’s pretty clear he’s not suited to Russball as if you look at his goals a lot of them are running in behind or getting on the end of crosses, he’s an SR data signing no doubt.
  4. You seem to think war has only just been invented. In the 1990s if you were an Iraqi, Bosnian or Rwandan youd be saying the same as those in Ukraine and Gaza are now. Did you know there has been war, famine and corruption in Africa, Jews have been afraid for their safety for decades? It hasn’t suddenly become a thing now because you’ve got access to the internet. we know how badly your life has turned out as you regularly bemoan it on here but as I’ve said to you many times this appears to be because you think everyone should be as great a guy as you are by constantly being virtuous on an internet forum. It seems like you’re the one showing a level of naivety that underlines your entire posting history on here.
  5. Rest assured any developments on this score will be delivered to you in accurate and timely manner courtesy of the COT
  6. Wasn’t this subject split because SOG said about how tough life is? I disagree life is tough for us, yes we can all point to things that mean it isn’t great but for kids growing up these days they have more opportunity than ever before. The food and big pharma industry, a particular crusade of mine, have a lot to answer for but no one forces you to stick ultra processed food down your gob 4 or 5 times a day. They might make it hard for some people not to but again no one’s holding a gun to their head forcing them. im on business this week in South Africa (yes they send a white English guy 6000 to sort the issues but that’s another story) if you want to see life being tough spend a week herein Johannesburg, 30% unemployment, temporary houses on every highway, beggars everywhere, crime sky high, Gini coefficient the worst in the world, even people with relatively well paid jobs have entire families of 10,11,12 people depending on them. That’s tough. Then there me getting a taxi to a luxury hotel costing the same price as premier inn here, going out to top notch restaurants with 6 people and paying less than £30 a person including wine and saying how cheap it is here, makes you realise your problems ain’t that bad at all
  7. Life is always going to feel happier when you have hardly any responsibilities, everything is new and exciting and all you’ve got to worry about is what you’re doing at the weekend. The 90s were brilliant for me, I have great memories of growing up but that doesn’t mean every day and every thing was brilliant. My life is brilliant now annd I have a lot of responsibility but equally that doesn’t mean every day and everything is brilliant now either. I really do believe it comes down to expectations, a lot of people these days expect the world to be perfect nothing bad to ever happen to them, they expect to be able to buy a house whilst also having holidays abroad, drive nice cars and be on high paid jobs very quickly after coming out of education. When inevitably bad things do happen they have a victim mindset rather than working through it. By bad things I don’t mean serious stuff like your kid or partner dying or getting cancer etc, you just got to survive those times as best you can, I mean the smaller stuff that can and does happen to anyone at any time. I think people these days have more expectations and less resilience because generally our lives are fairly comfortable.
  8. Yes but the Tories are self serving lying scum aren’t they so surely you’re not going to use them as evidence to support your claims?
  9. It was certainly better when SOG could only post 3 times a day
  10. This much
  11. Watching a few games this weekend, Villa described as hard to play against, aggressive quick, Brighton described as same but whilst they do knock it around a bit they’re quick and aggressive in the final third no constant recycling waiting for the perfect moment football is a chaotic game russ seems to want to find a perfect strategy and map it onto a load of players who are millions of miles away from being perfect then blame them when it doesn’t work
  12. I really think like the Dutch still talk about total football many years on in 2060 people will still be talking about Russell Martins crab football revolutionary view of the game
  13. Shame he’ll miss out on the England squad but won’t really effect our results just means our possession will be slightly lower as Macca is worse with his feet
  14. Everton too at home, I remember I was one of the first games after he got put on garden leave and their fans were singing “where’s your peadophile” remember a handful of theirs giving it the trampoline and “come on then” under the east until the DEF stood up and they pretended they were doing their shoe laces up
  15. That’s how I remember it. Merrington was popular and should never really have been given the job in the first place but he didn’t get any stick at all jones got a hard time he wasn’t popular most fans thought he was an arrogant prick and when he was put on garden leave the fact was he was lucky not to have be sacked for results. He had a good first season where we finished midtable but then brought it shit players like Scott Marshall, Stuart Ripley, David Howells etc and our first ten games im pretty sure we only got 2 points or something like that souness was popular because he was a big name and we made some good singing Eyal Berkovic, Ostenstad etc and we got some good results early on but overall he was pretty shit
  16. Good points well made. Although i'd never understand why grown men would feel the need to record themselves having conversations like this, both of them seem to be lagging. Also assume this has only be shared with a group of mates so one of them must have stitched him up and shared it.
  17. Why do we seem to attract owners/chairman that think they can reinvent football? Barring a few years of sanity we’ve had them for the last 30 years. Lowe was one of them, Cortese the same, Semmens the marketing guy and his weird ideas and how Rasmus with his player trading and philosophy bollocks. Why can’t we have a normal owner and bloke in charge who goes for the tried and tested formula of a decent manager and good players. Rather than being obsessed with buying 3 shit players the price of one good one, spending tens of millions hoping to find the new Ronaldo and let the sink or swim and trying to find the new Pochettino with every management appointment
  18. Short term knee jerk reaction from a load of people obsessed with only one type of “win”. If you analyse the data we are doing really brilliantly on many mectrics. Are we going to win the sport of soccerball? No, no one does. Martins philosophy is close to delivering, there is so much love in the club, the possession and pass completion yesterday was unreal. There is so much good in our play that to change things now when we are so close to being a really brilliant team would be crazy.
  19. Define shit there are more luxuries, opportunities and support available than ever before. Yeah some things are tougher, like mortgages, but still highly possible for most people.
  20. Turkish

    Israel

    You are beyond parody
  21. Times aren’t hard. Again you think they are partly because of your own failings and because as I’ve told you before happiness = expectation - reality
  22. 25th May, Arsenal at home last game of season, we’d been relegated by February but the Northam wall all stood arms outstretched giving it large “top of the poession league, we’re having a laff, top of the possession league, we’re having a laff”
  23. But we do get another premier league record so every cloud and all that
  24. Hey Rasmus You called?
