  1. low cost signing, knows how to play Russball and still young so might develop and be the ready made replacement for THB when he leaves for £50m. Same as Ronnie Edwards. Rather we do it this way than chuck them into the first team to sink or swim like we've done before.
  2. good shout, nice place.
  3. received a lot of messages of support this week, too many to to reply individually but thanks for the message, good to know its appreciated.
  4. the sort of signing we were crying out for for years. Quality, proven player in a key position. Going for quality rather than gambling in key positions has to be the way forward.
  5. They are very quiet tonight. They've taken a hell of beating this window. Any doubts destroyed by this Stage 3 incoming.
  6. nice goal, good move, great finish.
  7. Well well well. Of all the thousands of bible verses and bible character by yet another amazing coincidence i just happened to get lucky and chose the one with the name of a transfer window signing. Yet another extrodinary coincidence. You asked for a name. The COT gives you a name. Now tell me we know nothing,
  8. I was thinking one for Thornill - Visit Thornill, less Graffiti than Venice
  9. you're kidding? London is a shithole now. Edinburgh is okay. Could possibly add Bath and Chester to the list.
  10. VJW you are getting the clues, well done 👍
  11. pretty much all transfers are paid over the period of the contract.
  12. mine too, been all over it many times, it's wonderful. The train system pisses all over ours. €50 for a train from Milan to Rome, (my boss lives in Milan) when i told him a standard train from Leeds to London was £260 if you need to be in london before 9.30am he almost spat his tea out.
  13. Yeah but come on if you played for Napoli you'd live down the Amalfi coast which is simply stunning.
  14. yet another coincidence FS. So many of them.
  15. it's all here Nick. We've even named the person this time something which we've often been criticised for not doing.
  16. it was brilliant when threatened to knock out that Steve Jones bellend live on kids TV though 🤣
  17. Yep he was apparently working on his strength training back here. Load of bollocks. He’s clearly fucked and will likely never play again at a decent level.
  18. I was one of those rare species who saw him play for us. He certainly didn’t look injured when he went off which to me suggests the guy is fucked
  19. He was a couple of weeks away after a week of preseason 🤣
  20. COT were on the case with this one
  21. shouldn't have bought that keyring then you have afford another pint.
  22. he blocked me years ago because i reminded him how he tweeted Saints weren't interested in Charlie Austin. He signed the next day.
  23. I agree, they were nothing like the Beatles that's all just a lazy sterotype because a few comments were made when they came out about being bigger than them etc. Noel has said many times the Stone Roses were his influence without them Oasis would never have existed. The first two albums and the Masterplan were 3 outstanding albums which stand up to anyone, the rest are a mixed bag, great songs on some of them but to be fair how many bands have turned our album after album which would make a lot of people top 25? Love him or hate Liam is a very good front man, he's got massive charisma and presence people think he's a bit of a knob and i can see why but if you see him interviewed and look beyond the front man/fake hard man front that's all for the cameras he's quite a down to earth and funny guy.
  24. Noel is right. It wasn't just about them they hit the top at a time when things in the UK were pretty good. It was cool to be British, we had great music, hosting Euro 96, London was a fashionable city for the first time since the 60s, we had great night clubs, fashion, we'd come out of the shit of the early 90s with the recession and poll tax and generally there was an optimism. I remember it being a brilliant time to be young. Compare that to now when i dont think there could be a worse time since kids were forced to go up chimneys and work in factories. As for Oasis themselves saw them first at Bournemouth, possibly might have been the same gig as you, IIRC Blur played in Bournemouth the same night. Did Maine Road same year as Knebworth with a load of DEF yoof, several other times in the late 90s then a few more times in the 00s, Bournemouth again where Liam seemed ill, his voiced was crap and was having coughing fits between songs, finally Slane Castle in Ireland, weekend in Dublin with the boyz, supported by Kasabian and the Prodigy which was amazing and probably the best gig i've been too. Never seen so many ruined people on one place though, some of them barely able to walk even before Kasabian were on stage.
  25. wondered why i'd not see that yank bird gobbing off on twitter for a while
