  1. Didn't Connor Armstrong say Alex crook gave him a few pointers? Lesson one must have been how to get information off Twitter and pass it off as your own
  2. Can anyone find the current percentage chance of us and Palace making the champions league? I remember this time last year for about 5 months they were all the rage. Week after week we were shown them and told how relevant and interesting they were. Surely they must be equally as relevant and interesting now.
  3. That's the problem. With Rodgers in charge they'll hover around 5th or 6th, threaten to challenge the top 4 but never really do it. If they got a decent manager in, like Klopp who wants the job, there is a good chance they might actually achieve something.
  4. Caulker gets it and knocks it long in the direction of Pelle. Kind of like what a 1988 Wimbledon would be without the players do play that way.
  5. Did you tell him he looked like a Wotsit? Player most likely to wear socks with flip flops is Martina IMO.
  6. top bantz Steve, great comedy. Take a while to think that one up?
  7. A Bedwetting imbecile who knows nothing about football, yes?
  8. How can this be? Everton never sell any of their best players, all their players love it there and would never leave for a bigger club, they are the club we wish we were. I'm sure Batman will be on to tell us how this is impossible, the story simply is not true.
  9. All this boll ocks spouted about selling our best players and replacing them on the cheap is laughable. Anyone would think we sold Schniderlin and replaced him with some unknown from league 1 for £250k. We're replaced him with a highly rated young player from Chelsea and a Dutch international rated one of the best young midfield players in Europe for a combined fee of £13m. Last season we replaced Shaw with a player who cost £10m, Lallana with a two players who cost £10m, we are about to spend £10m+ on a centre back. What exactly do people expect? That we replace them with better players who cost more? or we replace them with better players who cost the same. Because guess what, if a better player than Shaw, Schniderlin, Clyne, etc was available for the same price, Man United, Liverpool, etc would have signed them instead. We aren't replacing the outgoing players with league one nobodies and Carlos kickaballs, they are invariably young, highly rated international players or players who like Bertrand who have ability but whose career has stalled for whatever reason. Selling at top whack and replacing with two young players with potential is a good business model, of course they won't all work out and some will take longer than others to settle but not everyone can be brilliant straight away, less than a year ago Mane was the worst player we've had since Ali Dia, now he's the next £25m player we can't afford to lose. Still carry one moaning, trotting out recycled lines from talk sport and match of the day, with an Everton comparison every fifth post, some absolute clowns on here.
  10. No problem, interesting numbers aren't they, certainly about what I expected. Would it be fair to say you've become a considerably less amusing alpine (at least he pretends its his son posting sometimes) with a weird obsession with Everton?
  11. Did you know 76 of your last 81 posts have been negative towards saints and you've mentioned or made reference to Everton in 24 of them.
  12. Its a good job everyone didn't write off Clyne, Schnidelin, cork, lambert and Lallana after we lost 6-1 at arsenal 3 years ago.
  13. What's not to like about this one? Experienced premier league player and highly capped international, leader on the pitch and in the dressing room, only a year ago hailed as being a star of the world cup coming to us on a free transfer. Great bit of business
  14. Despite the claims on here we did try and sign a left back in our first season back. The deal for Buttner was so far down the line the deal agreement was announced on the Arnhem website and Buttner was openly talking in the press about how excited he was to come here. The deal then feel through and Man U nipped in, but the fact we tried to sign him in the first place suggests saints weren't confident Shaw was either ready or able to make the step up at that time, he hadn't actually played a league first team game before we got to the premier league. fox started the season as first choice but it was clear he was out of his depth. To a certain extent we got a bit lucky and Shaw was able to make the step up. It's pretty clear those at the club didn't see him as first choice left back when the season began otherwise they'd have started him as it and not tried to sign another one. So despite people thinking we are doing everything possible to block 'the pathway' for youngsters what we don't do is throw them into the first team and let the sink or swim. Any player that wants to be a regular in the starting line up now will have to be top half premier league standard and at or not far off international level, as we can field a first team of international players now. So that's the challenge for the and clearly means the pool of players coming through is going to be smaller. If we want them to stay with us then The challenge we have is producing players of that level but not good enough so they get snapped up by the top 6 clubs the minute they break into to the side.
  15. Some Fans were on his back from day one. Was slagged off on here and TUI before he'd played a competitive game, ironically cheered on his home debut. I'm not sure what people expect for a £8m striker, a goal ratio of 1 every 2.47 games is reasonable return, all the players who scored more than him last season cost or are valued at twice or more what he cost us. When he's confident and firing he's quality, but with the way some of our dinlow fans carry on its no wonder he struggles for it at times.
  16. Hang on a minute isn't he the worst player since Ali Dia?
  17. Did he tell you this when you served him at the drive through, or did you fall on your fat arse in front of him and he helped you get back on your flabby legs?
  18. Does anyone fancy doing a seating plan?
  19. If anyone can get him firing Koeman can!
  20. In reality you are probably the dullest Man to ever have a wifi connection
  21. That's the problem with all these foreigners in the game, they'll never know anything about passion. Im not being funny but Koeman was alright walking about giving interviews but when it comes to geeing up the lads he sat on his hands clueless, unable to inspire them. I'm wondering if he's up to it or if he's had enough and wants to go. Yesterday we were crying out for a Neil Warnock type figure on the touch line or a captain who will bleed for the shirt and all we got were a bunch of statues with no passion. No one getting stuck in. i also can't believe his post match interview he said he wasn't angry, he bloody well should be, he should have given them a roasting.
  22. I think we should just offer them £25m and be done with it, we can have him NOW NOW NOW then instead of having to wait two weeks.
  23. Your Mrs time of the month?
  24. So not the case that the family didn't like it. More like the people's chairman, good old nick nack, whose name many of you sang didn't like it as it meant the club wasn't about him when that flag was about.
  25. I remember the days when I used to come home to a copy of Shoot!, a bottle of panda pop and a packet of space invaders after tyro league games. If only id known back then rather than it being a magazine for kids to read about their favourite players it was a serious magazine where every sentence of every article needed to be disected and scrutinised for it's statistical accuracy it might have changed my view not just of soccerball but the entire planet.
