I remember the good old day on this forum when we had dreams and ambition. when rather than discussing which players were going to be leaving we would discuss how this was never going to happen because the lads all here playing for saints would never want to leave. The days when the likes of Wes Ender and Franks cousin would type and type and type and type and type that saints player would all turn down big clubs and bigger salaries to stay as saints, to be part of something special and to fulfil they boyhood dreams of playing champions league football for saints in our 50,000 stadium play with their mates from the youth teams packed to the rafters with fans all paying a tenner each to see it. Anyone that pointed out that this was unlikely to happen was met with a barrage of keyboard thumping and accusations of trolling from the self titled intelligent and enlighten posters. We seem to be accepting that players are going to leave, when for years we had paragraph after paragraph, capital letter and exclamation mark as to why this was never going to happen and why we shouldn't accept it, because it's not acceptable. There seems to be an air of resignation, even amongst the self titled enlightened/intelligent posters that players will be leaving, but we shouldn't be accepting it, so why are we?

JUst because your c*nt of a mate threw a paddy and decided he would go on strike to force his move through and this forum is full of whining whinging banshees, dont judge us all like that. I've been with this club through thin, thin and even thiner and a very small amount of thick, like most of the lads i go with i'll support those that wear the shirt and want to be here and the moment they dont i'm not interested. Give me a league one club with players that want to be here over a premier leauge club full of badge kissing helmets. So as a "neutural" why dont you fd*ck off and stop coming back here to gloat, f*ck off to Kop talk and talk about how your boyfriend cried when fans put it on him in league one as to why he wasnt putting a shift in. Tell them about his missus getting it up the arse from a Crewe player while he cired in front of the mirror after shaping his beard. because no one that us a proper fan of the club cares about what you or your knob haired, beared clam of a mate think of us.

You are deluded then. £20m would be an amazing deal for him one year into a 5 year contract. £12.5m for a right back with a year left on his deal isn't bad by any means. Is he worth £10m more than Bertrand? I'm not disappointed with the price im disappointed he's gone to Liverpool, although whatever the mugs on here might says it's still a step up for him but he could have gone to a genuine top 4 club.

Yes you're probably right the owner could afford to, however she's currently bailing the club out after the mess 'Corteses vision' left us in. Paying out of her pocket for a training ground worth £25m which cost £40m as well as clearing high interest offshore loans which Cortese and his vision took out, not to mention trying to shift high earning expensive players off the wage bill who have contributed FA and only came for the money anyway, but hey at least a couple of marquee signings satisfied his ego, not to mention how he cosied up to a couple of reporters who managed to make saints fans the first club in the country singing the name of the CEO and believing that if it wasn't for him we were nothing. So you see the foundations you speak of laid down Cortese were built were on sand, a basis of spend as much as you can, make as little as you can, tell everyone what they want to hear and make them believe its all about you. Yes the first part or the plan was very well executed, but at the top level he got found out and he didn't believe in his vision because he didn't have the conviction in it to see it through.

A sick signing? Why would we sign someone who is ill? What is wrong with him?

Which club is better: Liverpool, Tottenham, Southampton, or Swansea
Turkish replied to Redslo's topic in The Saints
Those were the real glory days. We had a team that was better than England, the new Alex Ferguson in charge and the most attractive team outside of the top four who were on an unstoppable march to the champions league in a 50,000 stadium all this whilst in league one. -

Whilst i admire the relentless nature of your blogging and your enthusaism to your new found passion is impressive, indeed laudable. I cant help but feel that perhaps your blogs might be slightly more credible to the wider audience if they weren't based on a computer game.

I love the way the usual suspects always descend into a debate about which is the bigger club. They always use "evidence" like Liverpool are in decline, Saints are on the up, they only finished x number of points above us/x number of places above us, Rodgers is a tosser and Koeman is a nice fella ass well as the caveat that there is no definiton as to what makes a big club so we can cling onto that when all else fails. Anyone who says it aint so is clearly a troll/not a saints fan/WUM and should stop runing this forum for everyone else.

It was a combination of those things plus his failure to actually make any money, (see our corporate sales) and his increasing strained relationship with Kat. Towards the end he wouldn't even giving anyone proper access to the books, just reporting a top line figure back in, presumably trying to cover up his multitude of financial errors. Kat wanted greater access to the finances, he said no, so she told him to resign with a pay off or be fired. Yes he played a part in our rise back up the league and did a good job for a while. arguably in the end our progress was inspite of him not because of him like many believed on here. The proof is in the pudding, rather than the club falling to pieces like Cortese pals in the media wanted we've gone completely the other way. I was always very consistent in my view and took a lot of grief of here because of it, but only an idiot would deny St Mary's is a much better place now he's not there.

Over 300 posts across two forums of helmets getting themselves at it about posts and posters on a football forum. I've long thought that a forum version of gogglebox needs proposing to channel 4. Camera viewing posters such as pap, Jeff, Sad old Git, Franks Cousin and hypo as they work themselves up into a various levels of frenzy behind their lap tops would make fantastic viewing.

Still trying to play the forum hardman role then?

I cannot get over the fact that Cedric soares (pronounced in the finest 'ammmpshire accent of course) sounds more like a nasty infection than a premier league footballer.

Transfer update on Clyne, Schneiderlin and transfer priorities
Turkish replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I see Blackmore just mugged you off on twitter for passing that info off as your own half hour ago when he posted it days ago  “@ConnorArmstrong: Nathaniel Clyne has been spotted at the same London hotel as a member of Liverpool's transfer committee. (via @bigadamsport) #SaintsFC #LFC” 18/6/2015 21.45 “@bigadamsport: @ConnorArmstrong slightly historic - 2 days before the 10M bid was made public” -
Targett & Ward-Prowse named in England U21 Euro squad
Turkish replied to S-Clarke's topic in The Saints
Agreed. I thought we looked relatively comfortable with him on the pitch. Was neat and tidy, used the ball well and always available for a pass, went close with the free kick. As soon as he went off Portugal took control, Carroll who was the worst player on the pitch IMO stayed on and JWP came off, strange decision and could well have cost England the game. -
Although one of the mods on here is, shall we say over zealous and sensitive, having strops like teenage girls when someone says something he doesn't like, it's better than it used to be. I remember the days when infractions were dished out like confetti. The best reason being for 'stupid or pointless comments' you could make a case for 90% of the stuff on here falling under that category. The greatest infraction of all time was when I got one for 'stamping on people's dreams' by saying we would never be a regular champions league club, whilst we were in league one!

So does Pap now qualify as one of the good posters who don't bother anymore and you can see why?
-
And if anyone would know if there is any news on twitter it's you, hey pal.

Is your contribution to that forum of the standard it is on here? To moan all the time and only post about how terrible the forum is or to have a go at another poster you don't like.
-
Because most football fans are compete and utter crumpets and it's fashionable at the moment to have a downer on england. When there is a performance which isn't brillaint then people like Adrian Durham do a great job of whipping the nation up into a frenzy as to how bad we are and the players don't care. Then Mugs like most that post on here suck it all up and pass it off as their own views.

Personally I'd go with Davis Clyne Stephens Turnbull Targett Ward Prowse cork Reed Bertrand Rodriguez Gallagher Cork obviously included because he's the best midfielders in the history of Soccerball and should never be sold. The rest of the team goes by our selection policy of *insert name of saints player* is the answer, what was the question?
