Lallana, Sturridge, Ibe, Henderson, Ings, Milner, Clyne. Thats without mentioning Sterling. Won't argue with any of our sigings, although from the sounds of Martina there surely are good young British players in L1 or the Championship that we could have looked to sign and improve for a relatively low fee.

And none of those are products of our Academy.

When teams have loads of English players and are playing well fans love it. When you have few and are winning fans love it. When you have few and are losing fans think you need more British spirit. But no doubt we are becoming an increasingly foreign side because we sell our best English players and cannot afford to replace with good English players as they are hugely overpriced. Only Forster and Bertrand when fit are guarenteed a place in our best team.

Fairly sure Sven Van Beek would be on our scouting list. Certainly fits the profile. Looks like Ognonna going to WH or Everton. Vlaar also hasnt signed for anyone and although I would be hesitant Koeman has been keen before. Kind of a shame there is nobody good enough who is British, just to redress the balance a little.

I reckon he could be a cult hero: Caribbean heritage, a name that sounds like a cheap cocktail, and heralded as **** by fans of the club he has joined from. Could someone mock up a potential design (there are usually some good graphics people on here) and then I can get a quote.

Feel for Koeman in this, as his comments yesterday seem a little foolish if the reality is/was that the Spurs deal was virtually done. Plus he must feel a little frustrsted to lose more quality players. Although he knows that could happen he obviously felt we would have a good chance of keeping Toby this summer. Fonte too must be slightly peeved at seeing his defensive partners of the last two seasons getting big moves and he has to build another partnership again.

Didn't he mean we got Juanmi for that? We have added Jay and Juanmi to replace Elia and Djuricic plus have a fit Tadic back. Soares to replace Clyne, Stek to replace FF and Martina as a much needed utility defender. If we replace Morgan and Toby then IMO the only area we are still weak is GK. Davis should be no 3, Gazza out on loan and better quality no 2. Otherwise we are fine though IMO. The key is the quality of the Morgan/Toby replacements.
