Maybe, but they gave Federici a 3 year deal (Boruc 1) and the article the other day said he only wanted to leave Reading if he would be first choice somewhere. We will see, but already they have decent depth, both better than anyone we have fit at the moment, although of course we will be bringing at least one GK in so that should change.

Federici signs for AFCB on a free. Wonder if Boruc could end up second choice again?

Of course. The media reports suggest it has already ended. Whether that is the case, who knows, but those reports did coincide with Koeman being much more positive on the topic than he had been before. -
We can pair him with Reed and JWP and watch them deal with Yaya!

@KuipTalk: VI: Jordy Clasie is willing to make a transfer this summer, with #SaintsFC, Zenit and AS Roma interested. #Feyenoord @KuipTalk: #Fiorentina's head scout was in De Kuip last Sunday. The Italians are reportedly interested in both Boëtius and Vilhena.

Fer is capable of scoring the odd great goal but in many games of theirs I have seen this season his attitude and work rate has been very, very poor. Avoid IMO.

http://www.insidefutbol.com/2015/05/26/atletico-madrid-use-toby-alderweireld-as-bait-for-arsenal-target-morgan-schneiderlin/210562/ This is probably bull****, but would be ideal...

Only JWP who is really young who would get near our starting XI so not a huge suprise and he has played in 3 PL seasons now.

Mane lower than Targett and Kelvin Davis?

Saints linked with Adam Federici in local Reading paper. Available on a free but wants to be a first choice so more likely he will move elsewhere.

He said "we'll see" to the person who asked him on my table and seemingly most others who asked - pretty much all he can say. Did your pal get something more in depth? -
Goal away at West Ham.

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11700/9865318/southampton-defender-toby-alderweireld-wants-future-resolved More balanced here and some additional quotes. He will obviously weigh up all the offers he gets, as he should but we must have some chance unless a top 4 side comes in for him.

We will see this week or next. United were keen on him before but seem to have switched their attention elsewhere. Maybe thats a bluff, who knows. But Saints are more confident of keeping him now than they were in March. At least you replied though, even if your opinion is different. Thats fair enough. -

Because I think there is a good chance of Clyne staying? I get the feeling if I thought he was leaving you would also say the same thing. Play the post not the poster. -
Set to be sold cut price apparently http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3096570/Southampton-push-12m-Uruguay-playmaker-Gaston-Ramirez-exit.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490

Saint Charlie replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Thats what I mean, I think he will stay now because for whatever reason the interest of those others that was there, isn't anymore and that is why Reed and Koeman have been sounding positive. Of course that could change, but if United or anyone else were lining him up then he wouldn't been in "very very positive" talks with us. Lets hope he stays anyway, few would have thought we could keep him and Jay earlier in the season. -

"I'm confident we will have a resolution sooner rather than later," said Reed. "I'm in discussions and those have been very, very positive." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32734628 Koeman: “Still confident that he (Clyne) will sign a new contract but I think next week we will know more about his situation." http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/579727/Southampton-Ronald-Koeman-discusses-Nathaniel-Clyne-contract-Manchester-United They obviously have a belief he will stay, and have both said more than just "we are still talking." Something clearly changed in the last few weeks, with Clyne changing agent and Utd perhaps deciding they didnt want him any more, because if they did then the talks with Reed would have been very quick: "Thanks, but no." -
Full quotes... http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2015/morgan-schneiderlin-there-are-discussions-nothing-is-done/ Seems fair enough to me.

Well I guess if we secure any of the loan boys then that would happen, but the noises recently from Krueger and Reed have been that last season we also put money aside for the wages of the players we signed last summer and we also paid 10m for Bertrand. We don't need lots of players if its only Morgan who goes. Just 2/3 quality ones and a loan keeper.
-
The difference this time is the club know he will go and most likely will want something sorted quickly so we can get his replacement quickly. I can imagine us using the cash from his exit as most of our transfer budget for next season.
