  1. No idea. He is a BBC Sports Presenter.
  2. I don't affect SkyBet prices.
  3. @richaskam: Unclear how close Koeman to Everton is , but hear contract discussions etc with #saintsfc did not impress him. Could develop quickly #efc From the way Reed was speaking in that video, slightly reluctant to praise RK and the Guan comments, it could be that we aren't overly fussed about keeping Koeman (for some bizarre reason).
  4. Price drift reflects the news Les is still "hopeful".
  5. Its probably just more media drivel!
  6. No way we would consider Giggs. Would be a dreadful appointment. If we are going to start a rumour at least go for Steve Evans.
  7. @GFFN: Breaking | PSG have contacted Unai Emery & have made him an offer, according to iTélé. FWIW this is the other guy Everton were looking at.
  8. They had different ideas for the future. But hardly a suprise, they change managers more frequently than anyone apart from Leeds.
  9. Would be fantastic! Anything is possible until he actually signs for them.
  10. There isn't a media storm though? Media largely quiet on it which is why people aren't sure if its true.
  11. Fair enough. Everyone I knew was gutted when Adkins left. Turned out to be the right decision (at least that was on our terms) but with the emotion in football I don't understand that reaction. Obviously its gutted in football terms, not life events etc.
  12. Based on everything thats available, money on offer, Everton forum ITKs who they all trust, the deafening silence from both clubs and those Journalists most connected to it. Marcel van der Kraan on Sky, Koeman getting a new agent a couple of weeks ago, Guan's recent comments etc. You can of course have your own opinion but I think he will go/has decided to go. Hopefully its all to get a better contract here but doesn't sound like it.
  13. Wouldn't you be at least a tiny bit gutted though? Surely?!
  14. Also is available, no compensation to pay or talks with Clubs. We were linked with him just after the end of the season in Spanish media.
  15. If Koeman signed a new contract then we would likely never know that. I guess it depends if you would rather Koeman stayed or rather take a gamble and get someone else. I get the feeling lots of people like the excitement of the latter option which is fair enough but I would personally rather keep Koeman, who has proven his ability to do a great job.
  16. So you don't believe he is going?
  17. Yet a week ago if someone said it would be better if we got rid of Koeman they would probably have been slated? If he suddenly signs a new contract today I doubt many fans will react like "Hmmm. Not sure about that." Everyone would one be delighted.
  18. I think most people would surely rather keep Koeman if possible, no? Point being that we are quite close to having a really good, well drilled team that could achieve the Club's aim of being ready to gatecrash the top 4 if an opportunity were to arise. Reed said in the YT video, we want a stable summer, to build on what we have with minimal disruption and to focus more on who comes in player wise rather than who leaves. Just frustrating that at Saints there is always so much change. That is all and I imagine most fans agree with that? Koeman cannot turn down the kind of money on offer in all honesty, I don't really blame him. It just always seems to be us that starts every summer in less than ideal circumstances and some of the Club PR then becomes tiresome.
  19. Which bit do you disagree with?
  20. Agree we have a good track record. Just ****es me off how so many fans just automatically assume it will always work out better. Sooner or later it won't. The fact they (allegedly) didn't have a meeting about it all just seems very smug and not really good governance. Reed and Krueger both come across as very naive at times and Krueger especially is patronising. That DT article was meant to be a nice bit of PR and now makes them look foolish. They are happy enough to bang on about how great it is to secure Prowsey for another 6 years about a year into a previous long contract so they should take the rough with the smooth and acknowledge, like with Alderweireld, that they aren't always on the pulse.
  21. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11700/10242788/southampton-chairman-hopeful-ronald-koeman-will-remain-with-club-next-season http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ronald-koeman-set-stay-southampton-7756032 Very similar to quotes about Pochettino. Fans will stop listening soon.
  22. So automatically it will be fine again? What if this time our preferred candidate isn't available? Or we were so sure Koeman would be here next season that they only started putting feelers out earlier this week? Its naive IMO to automatically assume it will be fine to keep finding quality Managers to replace the excellent ones we lose. Its by no means certain. Plus it impacts the squad. The same squad Reed expected to remain stable.
  23. What is weird is being proud of not having a meeting about your Manager maybe being poached because you are so smugly confident of it not happening - and then it happening. The Ralph comments about "positive conversations" are also horrifically cringeworthy but people on here lap it all up. Koeman leaving is a massive blow. I don't get how people shrug it off so quickly.
  24. Not loving it - its a fair question why they wouldn't have a meeting about it. For thst article to be written pretty much the day before this story breaks is dreadful PR. But people prefer to believe we will just "get someone better".
  25. Wonder what happens to Sammy Lee and Dave Watson now. Forster is very close with Watson.
