  1. Now they have Terry the Cabbie from Romford talking about how much of a disgrace it is that Mark Noble isn't leading England out in France.
  2. Everton will be looking for better players than him mate. They don't need a stepping stone CB when they can buy the world'a best.
  3. TalkSport just had a Selco advert.
  4. FWIW: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/european/andre-villas-boas-rules-out-england-return-after-disasterous-spells-with-chelsea-and-tottenham-a6878886.html Could well change his mind of course. Especially to get a chance to work with Matty Targett.
  5. AVB is obviously a relative big name but seemed to aggravate people at Chelsea and Spurs. Been doing a good job at a rich team in a league where money rules. Didn't realise how young he still is. Would certainly be intriguing if not overly enthusing to lose Koeman for him. Could do worse.
  6. Good post overall. We are a team that has been top 8 three years in a row in the PL but still act like we feel we don't quite belong there.
  7. Not especially no. Just saying we could pay it if we had to/wanted to. But we probably cannot/won't pay the transfer fees that he has allegedly been promised by Everton.
  8. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/stoke-city-set-sign-norwich-8108448 Good one to avoid IMO.
  9. Long: “He’s been brilliant for me, you can see how much my game has come on and I hope he does stay,” Long told Sky Sports. “We’re kind of cut off from the outside world here, I don’t know much about what’s going on. I think you know more than I do. “Hopefully he’s still there come the summer but we’ll see.”
  10. The amount we will lose on Juanmi is the difference in what Everton will offer Koeman compared to us. We could 'afford' to pay him what they are if we wanted to but its what is symbolises which is key.
  11. Bet there has been a few Whatsapps between the players about this. Wonder how much it annoys/bothers them or if they half expected it? Some like Harry Reed possibly pleased. Does give an easy out excuse for anyone who needs one though. Next appointment will need to galvanise and motivate again like Koeman did so well at first.
  12. For Koeman the decision to switch Agent is paying off nicely. Probably why he switched.
  13. Curbishley is frothing at the mouth as we speak. #imavailable
  14. Somewhere in the world this lad will be shedding a tear just about now. Be interesting to see how he is used by a different Manager and if he can step up next season. Would say he was 6/10 on his first season.
  15. Are you being honest?
  16. Not sure why people are so down on Howe. Not Koeman stature but a good Manager. Would far prefer him to AVB or Moyes. He comes across very well, is young, ambitious and plays good football. Not sure he would ruin his legacy at Bournemouth to join us though. Aside from unknowns (who hopefully Saints know) there aren't many obviously quality candidates out there. Especially when replacing such a good Manager.
  17. So many of the names mentioned are awful. Pochettino, Koeman, Moyes. Just looks ridiculous FFS.
  18. Villas Boas is damaged goods in the PL and would also see Saints as a step down. Howe looks the most progressive of the likely hyped candidates but Saints usually think left field. Genuinely not sure if Howe would ruin his Bournemouth legacy by joining Saints anyway.
  19. This is often said but I don't think its true, certainly not in football. End of the day, it would be a hell of a payrise and one that would be very hard to resist for anyone. As said before it also indictes their investor is serious about spending.
  20. You will be the one accused of a meltdown! Wrongly, of course.
  21. We probably can't. Its not just the offer. It what it is indicative of. It suggest Everton's new guy Moshiri is willing to spend big money and spend it quickly to improve their team. That combined with the salary would be very attractive and seeing as ambition = money in the PL it is a big show of ambition which is what Koeman called for us to show to keep him.
  22. LOL. If you really were offered a pay rise of that scale would you think twice about rejecting it? Its an obscene amount.
  23. End of the day you don't turn down £6-7m a year if you were previously on £2.5m.
  24. Interesting. He also says this just after: @RichardBuxton_: More Dutch media claims, this time De Telegraaf reporting Everton hope to announce Koeman as manager within next 24 hours #EFC #SaintsFC @Elko_B: According to De Telegraaf, Everton want to announce the Koeman appointment within the next 24 hours. https://t.co/xp7GB5IRHN Nobody knows!
