  1. It is unfortunately. Even Saints sometimes believe their own hype.
  2. He is going to, yes.
  3. I think it will be Everton.
  4. Its probably dawning on them that their new investor has serious cash. I am sure they are happy to have stolen an excellent Manager from a club that finished considerably higher than them last season.
  5. Some woeful names mentioned so far. Pochettino, Koeman, the next one needs to be as good as the other two.
  6. Reads very smugly in hindsight. Lets hope we did bother to put feelers out on a replacement.
  7. Yeah doesn't seem very Saints like to give Arsenal the benefit of further training for a player they bought from us.
  8. Hmm. Naive or stupid? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/06/01/the-quiet-success-of-southampton-who-can-now-afford-to-keep-star/?
  9. I'm gutted about Koeman. He has been brilliant for us. But there is definitely a thing on this forum where you get a negative reaction for even posting a link suggesting someone will leave etc. Saints will be fine but its equally fine to admit that this is a blow rather than putting out the "we will get someone better" line which has no doubt started.
  10. Shame that this one has come to fruition but a lesson to play the post not the poster. Let the #meltdown2016 begin.
  11. This was a mistake. Quite hard to trust Reed and Krueger's PR comments at times.
  12. They have likely just poached our Manager so in some ways they were right about them being a far bigger club. Reed said recently we lose players to the biggest clubs. Should be the same in this case. Not Everton.
  13. Bit gutting really to lose him to Everton after all the recent PR about "ambition".
  14. Semedo: crazy price for an unproven player. http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/southampton-told-to-forget-about-12m-deal-and-stump-up-35m
  15. @riccosrant: Told Ronald Koeman is warming to becoming the new #EFC manager thanks to the promise of double his wages and more than £100 million to spend
  16. **** no. Would be awful after Koeman and Pochettino.
  17. Would take ages trying to get him out of Bournemouth if he was even keen. Worth noting our last two Managers have been out of work. Flores would be one option but keeping Koeman would be optimal.
  18. They have all been quiet so far. No confirmations, denials or even comments. Bit odd really.
  19. If he does go I hope it hasn't been a total suprise to the Club and they have been able to plan their next move for a while. If we wanted a replacement already at a club that could take another few weeks to resolve itself which isn't ideal.
  20. Depends if they are talking formally or informally. Usually the permission is asked for once the deal is virtually setup. Very interesting that none of the main UK journalists have commented yet. Almost like they have been told not to!
  21. Full SSN quotes from Van Der Kraan: http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11671/10302379/everton-go-all-guns-blazing-for-southampton-boss-ronald-koeman
  22. @Elko_B: Dutch football magazine VI are now reporting Ronald Koeman is close to a move to Everton as well. Dutch media are certain it's a done deal Personally will see what Alex Crook or his lackeys put in the Star tonight and then expect the opposite to happen.
  23. Isn't he usually well connected? He said if had to put money on it then it looks like Koeman could be heading north.
  24. @bigadamsport: Things between @RonaldKoeman & #saintsfc would have to turned sour very quickly for him to consider Everton & giving up Europa Lge for another season of flux, despite Everton's ambition. Not a career move for Koeman IMO. And would be really go back on his word? ... All makes sense without factoring in money.
