No. Its an old email thing called Toffee List that I am a member of. Can forward if you like?

We must have by now. The clubs are discussing compensation.

We shall see Shano. We shall see.

This bit is a load of ******** tbh: Seems Koeman has been their no1 all along. De Boer was hyping himself for the job as soon as Martinez left so absolutely no reason he would have turned them down. Even more so given the indication they will spend big. I think right now these are probably the big concerns Everton fans have:
-
The first is apparently an IT Consultant from Wilmslow with no football experience. Would be an odd choice.
-
Javi de Pedro could be an option (at last):
-
I call them Sky Sources. An Everton ITK called "John Crisp85" seems to think it will be announced tonight by about 7.30.
-
You don't actually know that? Its all based on tweets and attention seekers on messageboards.
-
Apparently he is in his fifties as well haha (or at least the 'character' is). Fair play to the man behind the fictional persona, its a good one and a bit different to the other 'characters' on here. Has definitely got braver of late too.
-
Can you add Pep, Thomas Tuchel and Keith Hill to the poll please. And Neil Redfearn.
-
A Spanish report just after he left Watford said we were interested in him. Can't find the link just now. Edit: here it is http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/marca-leeds-target-flores-has-offer-from-southampton-espanyol-int

I'm certain we would want to keep Watson, largely due to his influence on Forster. Nothing we could really do if he did get a financially lucrative offer though I guess. Cheers for the info.

Koeman wants to go, and is going, to Everton. Might as well just move on rather than looking for things that probably aren't there. Saints haven't actively sold him to Everton, he has said he wants to go there.
-
He is far too sensible to get formally involved in the first team. Plus not qualified.
-
Doesn't make a difference to the preparation quality of course but slightly amusing we will be going to Holland without the people who probably pushed for us to go there. Hopefully will get some pre season details soon.
-
I don't think we will. Saints are a progressive club and Moyes isn't really a progressive Manager. Pochettino, Koeman, Moyes just looks ridiculous. Moyes (like Pellegrini) would have been a decent choice to take on the situation we had when Pochettino left to steady the ship but not now IMO (especially given his last two jobs).
-
Indeed. Plus our deal whilst good for us pales into insignificance when compared to the teams above us.
-
I wouldn't say the reaction to Koeman going has been that bad to be honest. Most people seem happy to move on and more frustrated by the nature/circumstances of it to be honest rather than being overly concerned or fearing an exodus/meltdown.
-
I'm afraid not. He would have been a great choice after Pochettino went, or if for some reason Koeman's departure led to an exodus, as he is a calming presence. But if the Club are continuing to follow the same path then I think they will look for someone who more fits their requirements. If their biggest gripe with Koeman was relating to young player development then Pellegrini won't be in the frame. He also didn't manage European football and domestic form overly well and had a few strops about fixture times etc which came across pretty badly I thought. Good Manager but we are looking for a different profile...all IMO of course.
-
When Lol Reed goes I want Russell Slade as DoF.
-
Bright, young(ish) and engaging personality, coach proven to improve players, who brings through young players and who ideally has European experience. Pellegrini is a good Manager but I think he is probably a bit too old and isn't good on the young player side, at least certainly not at City. Saints would be a convenient way to stay in England, the others are probably at more ambitious stages of their career and may have more drive to succeed. He is 62 I think, three of the four Guan mentioned are under 45 and 2 are under 40. He doesn't fit in with those.
-
Lee and Watson probably won't be part of the initial deal I don't think. Lee is unlikely to be wanted at Everton. Anyone know if their GK coach left with Martinez? If so then highly possible Koeman will try and tempt Watson back to the north with a big pay rise. Lee wouldn't both me either way but Watson is very key in Forster being happy here and has done a good job by all accounts.
-
Koeman has always had the final say on players we bring in which whilst that isn't total responsibility, it is some responsibility. To suggest he had little to do with us bringing in Pelle, Tadic, Clasie, VVD, Martina & Stekelenburg is mental. The Manager suggests which positions are needed, the recruitment team compile options and the whole setup including the Manager align on who the first choice, second choice etc is. Reed said before, no player joins without the Manager being on board with it. We have a tendency on here to start playing down the role of anyone who leaves.
-
Pellegrini doesn't tick too many of the boxes Saints will be looking for attribute wise. Would be suprised if we considered him.
-
No but I would imagine we could improve it as beyond the big few over there the money isn't of PL level.
