  1. Cheers pal, its a pretty light-hearted thread I think.
  2. One of the finest bad habits goes something like this: Clueless spectator moans at Cork and Schneiderlin for passing backwards to the defence in order to keep the ball and move the opposition about. Shouts of "Get it forward!" can be clearly heard. Three minutes later Hooiveld has the ball at his feet and launches it into the channel for Lambert/Rodriguez to run onto. It goes over his head and straight out of play for a goal kick. The same neanderthal that was screaming to get it forward is now moaning for us to "Keep the blaady ball." Happens multiple times per game.
  3. Plus then they will moan that the beer/food is disgusting as if it varies week by week.
  4. Definitely not. He must just hate what he sees.
  5. There is guy I see who never actually watches the game, he listens to it on Solent and stares at the floor most of the game Also anyone who falls into these more general categories is odd IMO: 1.) Missing the start of the second half because they are too worried about drinking awful beer. Have a look a yourself. 2.) Leaving before the end, especially when the result is hanging in the balance. Even more so when half of these people don't seem to have much urgency about themselves i.e they don't seem to be rushing off to catch a train or anything.
  6. Draw is best.
  7. Fair enough, can't argue too much with that. Decision was correct but came across as insincere to NA after his good work. Generally though, the club is in far better shape with NC at the helm IMO. Got to be up there with the best Chairman/Chief Execs in the league and the main reason is he actually has an ambition to improve us and a vision of how to get there, plus obviously the means to do so. Good that this episode is over though.
  8. Cool - out of interest when did you change from "definitely out" to "maybe out"? When he got the Adkins/Pochettino call right?
  9. Bizarre then to have a location of "Cortese out" if you don't actually want him out. You kind of want him out but only if someone better comes in, which they won't.
  10. Ok. Yes or no answer: Do you want Cortese out of the Club?
  11. In this case, it is for me. If he left tomorrow I would not be happy.
  12. Hypochondriac - One question, yes or no answer: If Cortese left Saints tomorrow would you be happy?
  13. Plus Martinez said no way the same side can play the Cup Final and then against Arsenal so players will be rotated.
  14. Is Dawson actually a good enough batsmen to be no 3? Seems like he is being trained for a role he will never be up to IMO.
  15. But they both have 38.
  16. Pretty much the only good thing about both teams on Monday was set piece delivery, especially from corners. All Stoke's were fizzed across the 6 yard box excellently. Especially when compared to ours that come down with snow on.
  17. Well worth the fee now!
  18. Pointless having an open book on that and nearly all of those would have no hope. Allardyce 33-1. I would say more like 330.
  19. This lad would have been the best player the Championship has ever seen and worth breaking the bank for. In reality, he is poor and has been loaned out to half the Championship in the last couple of seasons.
  20. Scott Dann - the CB we had to have despite being completely and utterly s*ite.
  21. Inigo Calderon has done ok at Brighton although lost his first choice status at RB once they got promoted. Top guy though, won the PFA FL Community Award and is doing a triathlon in the summer for a Sussex Childrens Hospice. http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?278092-Inigo-Calderon-doing-triathlon-for-Chestnut-Tree-House-Childrens-Hospice
  22. True, but he still would improve us now. His career path is quite similar to Hooiveld's.
  23. Chucho Benitez who used to be at Birmingham?
  24. Ruud Knol would have improved us defensively I must say.
  25. Name: Brian Howard Position: Midfielder Job he could have done: Given us some leadership and guile in midfield alongside Schneiderlin who is useless. Championed by those that know his brother (or something). Job he has done: Injury prone journeyman pro, spell at P*mpey Regret Factor: 2/10
