Correct. On the issue of the actual decision it would seem Cortese got it right and he pays himself a lot to make tough decisions and get them right, so kudos to him, even if not for the way it was handled (and nobody knows if it was handled behind the scenes as it was in public TBH).

Leicester would spend big I think if they went up so would probably prefer they didn't. IMO Palace would probably be the best to come up in terms of liklihood to go down. Watford an unknown quantity and Brighton could possibly do ok. Living in Hove at the moment there is a big buzz about football round here, they are still on the up (although haven't sold out for the 2nd leg on Monday as they keep sending emails offering tickets at work) - all of them would need to spend pretty big IMO.

Yeah, if it does turn out to be true it would be interesting. Perhaps they feel Clyne is also able to play LB and essentially it gives you three good full backs to pick from. Afterall, the games Fox has played this season (must be a fair few even since Shaw emerged) we have had a reduced quality of team. You have to allow for injuris, suspensions and even be able to rest people. But definitely interesting on the face of it as Clyne has been very good and MP has always praised him.
