As S Clarke has said many times, it is so similar to the Ramirez deal, trying to get other teams to bid...
-
Sounds like we will offer the most but Milan will try to use this buy back clause. When you are in for good players there is bound to be competition, its a sign they are coveted. Im sure we have a backup incase it cant be done, just like Sharp last Jan.

6 league goals.
-
4 league goals having started nearly every game. Promising player but has already been overhyped IMO.

Definitely defined as a troll as and thus exempt.

Decent Villa lineup tonight, going forward anyway.
-
Nothing has happened today because we have had no Twitter updates from Itchen Dan.

Is this guy valued at over or above €12m? If not then he is probably too cheap for us. -
Bit of a misleading OP. They just want to loan him out apparantly to get some first team games as he has only played 1 league game this season. Of the two I would have Shaw any day of the week so not missing having him at all.

Ryan Nelson leaving QPR to be a Manager in Canada. Big blow for them as he is their best CB but Im sure they will be bringing in a few top players this window. Dyer also released which is a good call by them but makes no difference to the relegation battle. -
Completely agree. When you see Wolves mess around with Dean Saunders, or Forest with McLeish is makes you realise that the decision to employ Adkins was a great one, and IMO he is the man to keep us up.

I said it was my opinion, I know the 'facts' don't add up to that. Its hard to compare eras. We were an established Prem team back then with a decent squad of experienced Prem players. What is true IMO is that the football we play now is more enjoyable to watch than it was then, and the game has changed a lot - there is zero chance that 2002/03 team would be anywhere near 4th at Xmas now. With successive promotions and playing good football, plus being a very likeable positive guy I still find it baffling that NA has to justfiy his job so much. Re the transfers - I think that it is very unfair to pin that on him - he gives recommendations but is not in control of whether they are successfully concluded. He said all summer he wanted 2 CBs and we got one. Thats not his fault.
-
For me he is the best Saints Manager we have had in 25 years so I would keep him regardless. The team has constantly improved since he took the job and continues to do so. I think some people won't realise how good he is until he is not our Manager anymore.

Sky last night, with quotes from his Agent.
-
Have we got a WUM Course we could send him on? He needs educating in the world of wummery. Plus the use of question marks when asking....a question. All in all a dismal effort from the lad.

Reading signing Hope Akpan from Crawley. Have seen him a couple of times and he is decent at L1 level but imagine if we made that signing how it would be received on here -
Lolz - current form guide and current league table puts us out the bottom three on both counts so you are wrong. http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/matchday/form-guide.html If you want to be a proper WUM then there is work to do.
-
Some more Liverpool links today, need to get this one over the line. Coutinho would be a bonus if it came to anything but this is key to our survival chances IMO.
-
Personally I wouldnt throw a defender into a game like that without really training with the team at all.
-
We have time. 13 days til Everton so realistic to do by then.
-
Most teams are screwed when they get relegated, unless they keep their best players which isnalways hard. But I would rather fight to stay up by signing good players rather than worry about relegation now before it even happens.
-
Quotes from the agent are promising, pretty much says Astori would be keen on the move and doesnt mention interest from other clubs. Saints would have known the price before we made him an offer so Im sure they will reach an agreement.
-
Journalist on Twitter saying AC Milan ready to bid if they sell Abate.
-
Standard Agent work. Agree a deal then see if anyone will beat it. And some people wonder why these things take time!
-
So the other option is to have players on lower wages, who would be less coveted by other teams but who probably arent as good. IMO Im pleased we are giving it a go, would rather bring in good players that we might lose if we went down because their quality is generally more likely to keep us up.
