That should give his confidence a boost. Good lad! Comprehensive performance today so well done RM and players. -

These foreign players all have to be clever with penalty kicks. -

Should have let Bree take it, someone who can thump a ball properly. -

Got to ditch the walking football, come straight out of the blocks with intent and play between the lines - all the best sides do it but we don't. It's something the coaches should be drumming into the players. Think we'll win this one nil. -
The only load Stewart and Ings could share would be on the doctors and physios.

Which January?

His bank account would probably suggest that both moves worked out rather nicely.

We already have Bree who has proved he can do a better job than Manning at left back. Our problem is that RM doesn't recognise the fact and has shoe horned Manning back into his team at the first opportunity. He should have left Bree in the team until such time as he cocked up. Manning cocked up again yesterday but how many think RM will drop him this weekend? You have to feel sorry for Bree who was dropped for doing nothing other than performing well.

You give Manning too much credit - the cross came from Fraser.

I think some of us are less than convinced with our style of play which continues to be possession for possession's sake and no apparent ideas to develop this into a system that creates good chances. It's all pedestrian, predictable and boring. Surely there needs to be a step forward, a transition that shows what we are working on has an ultimate goal. At present we are not a good watch and 70% of games seem to be spent making meaningless passes without actually getting anywhere. Let's see some signs of progress rather than the status quo.

Manning created Coventry's goal.

Apples and oranges.

4/10. He's far too hung up on ball retention at the expense of good, solid attacking football. He learns nothing from week to week and you can predict how we'll play with nothing changing. I'm done with this keep ball nonsense and endless recycling.
-
Let's all give ourselves a huge pat on the back because we can make a lot of simple sideways and backward passes that push up our possession stats. Unfortunately points aren't awarded for possession stats. This side is so boring to watch.
-
If only we took risks with passes up front like we do when playing out from the back. It makes no sense that you'll risk it to keep the ball at the back but you won't risk it to create space and chances going forward.

Lucky boy Smallbone.

AA should score there.

Better movement at last and that's what happens.

Urgency level hasn't gone up much.
