  1. Predict we'll see Plymouth come surging out of the blocks and put us to the sword- their manager will have seen there's nothing to fear here. We need to change and not just a little.
  2. Surely the reason for a passing game is to draw the opponent out and exploit the spaces created. We seem to just pass for the sake of it with no purpose or end product so everything just fizzles out. It has to be much quicker and we need players getting in between the lines. It aint rocket science.
  3. Very poor half from us. Don't understand all this walking football, we need far more zip and we're making it easy for them to defend against us. They look far more dangerous in the transition and we'll pay if we aren't careful. Edozie has offered nothing so I'd like to see Amo brought on sooner than later. If we don't up the tempo this will probably end in a one nil defeat from a mistake by us. Charles has looked good for his age and got through some great work.
  4. Picked up an injury at the open day training session in the week.
  5. Did anyone ever know what the black box was?
  6. Agree, it's far more complex than just assuming that other clubs haven't managed to be sustainable. That only rings true if every club is doing exactly the same thing.

    Flynn Downes

Probably but not for us 🙂
  8. Charles is certainly a prospect but at his age and with his limited experience do we think he's going to be more effective than Plymouth's midfielders? I'm not sure and he is our only real defensive cover in the middle. That is the area that worries me today. Hope it turns out different.
  9. He needs to stop spreading gossip, focus on his job, pull down the shutters and see the bigger picture - if not he should go and lie down in a dark room.
  10. The problem with trying to copy Brighton is that their owner is a betting genius who uses certain algorithms from his business to assess players - we don't have access to that,
  11. Hope you're right but we'll see.
  12. About all we've got but that midfield looks very weak, not much protection there.
  13. Agree. Not sure Baz would have got anywhere near the shot from James that he tipped over the bar.
  14. Two poor sides from what I saw.
  15. Keeping it tight at the back 🙂
  16. I like Perraud and think he'll do well for us if he stays and assuming he gets picked.
  17. Don't know much about Plymouth other than they are meant to have a pacey forward line. They'll fancy it against Bednarek and Stephens.
  18. Might as well keep him then surely?
  19. Every player at every club has a price at which they'd be willing to sell. That's how it works.
  20. He looks very good - reminds me a little bit of Dean Hammond. 21 so a good age. Could be an undiscovered gem....or a piece of fool's gold. At least he's cheap so not a huge risk in monetary terms - assuming there's anything in the rumour.
  21. If we win this tough away game and do it in some style it'll put down a marker that we can be considered early contenders for promotion. A draw would be ok with me and maybe even a narrow defeat. Anything else will ramp up the pressure to replace some of those who've been sold and bring in some new faces. Looking forward to seeing how the game unfolds because it's a difficult one to call.
  22. Certainly not, that's only just over £15 million. He's worth more in today's market.
  23. Thought RM said the injury to Smallbone is nowhere near as bad as first feared. He's ruled him out for this weekend but intimated he'll be back sooner rather than later so I wouldn't expect that to run into months.
  24. Is Downes coming though? I'm not sure I buy the food poisoning line. Feels more like we've been gazumped and he's been tapped up by a Prem club. Rather than come clean I think the food poisoning story has been concocted by his agent and, after the weekend when a bit of the dust has settled, we'll suddenly learn that a Prem side needs him and a deal has been done. Hopefully though they're still trying to prise him off the pan but, either way, it's beginning to stink.
  25. As an example what does Haaland do other than put the ball in the back of the net.
