30m for Ramsdale?
-
Still not sure what Dibling has shown that make people so sure he is a future super star.
-
Danger is, if we sell him, it will likely be to a Championship rival. If he scores a hatful of goals for them we'll be left with plenty of egg on our chops.
-
Looked a bit limited from what I saw of him in the U21 tournament but maybe he's better than what he showed.
-
We are not playing in the Premier league so his failings there are not really relevant. If AA is honest with himself he knows without being told that his ceiling is the Championship. Not sure what motivation he needs as surely he wants to be the best he can be at the highest level attainable for his skill set ie the Championship. He should be in the squad for this season because, if we sell him, it will likely be to a rival in the division which would be slightly bonkers. How many strikers have a better goal-scoring record than AA in the Championship?
-
Maybe that guy Adam Armstrong is available - he seems to score plenty of goals in the Championship.
-
Good luck to KWP. One of the good guys so sorry to see him go. Deserves all success at his next club. A great servant for us in his time here.
-
Good shout and might be the case.
-
It's been announced on the Official Club site.
-
Rusk gone and interesting to note that Lallana is still one of the first team coaches. No mention of a new first team tactics and insight analysist to replace Ben Parker.
-
Probably right on the valuation. If you look at what Championship sides spent in the 24/25 season it is quite an eye opener. The amounts in general are pretty low and not many above the 10million mark.
-
Adam Armstrong is no fool. He knows himself that he is not good enough to play in the Premier League so his highest level in England is the Championship. He needs no other motivation than to play as well as he can and give maximum effort. Whether that is for us or another Championship club remains to be seen but he will have no delusions that he is suddenly going to conquer the Premier League.
-
I never said you did 🙂
-
Wow, an athletic, pacey, strong full back who is 6'2" tall - what's not to like? Looks great on the video I watched although the standard he's playing in won't be Championship level. Never-the-less he looks to have plenty about him and, if Poch is a fan, I am too. Get him on the bus 🙂
-
The coaching he received here was certainly not the best but he's just another in a long line of players who make a living because they can run fast but have zero understanding of how to actually play football. He will never amount to much and certainly couldn't lace Sadio Mane's boots. Get as much as we can and chalk it down as yet another error by SR.

We're signing a blond Belgian?

Reading the Ranger's fans forum their supporters are saying Russell will need to buy a goalkeeper who is good with his feet and strengthen their defence. Surely his first move will be to come and get Bazunu and Stephens which will solve two of our problems.
-
I was surprised to hear how low the budget is at Rangers. From what I gathered it's £20 million some (not all) of which will be used on player acquisitions. Doesn't give Russell much to play with and it sounds as though they need quite an overhaul in terms of their squad.
-
That is embarrassingly funny. All very wooden with a complete lack of warmth on show.
-
I read it and my considered opinion is that most of it is bullshit and papers over some glaring cracks.
-
One thing is for certain - if this goes bad Martin will need to grow a thicker skin because any stick he received from the crowd at St Marys during the bad times will be nothing compared to the maelstrom of derision and vitriol that will cascade from the Ranger's fans. If he doesn't deliver he'd better be ready to deal with a major shit storm from the terraces.
-
To get most of the Ranger's fanbase onside Martin will, as a bare minimum, need to push Celtic all the way and certainly drastically improve on the season just finished where they lagged 17 points behind. The other teams in the league are cannon fodder with 3rd place going to Hibernian who finished 17 points behind Rangers. In some ways it should suit him as they are guaranteed at least 2nd spot but the pressure will come from always having to beat everyone including Celtic. If Martin sticks to his guns and refuses to change from his well known plan A then Brendon Rogers will already know exactly how to set up to beat Rangers. I suspect that Russell will actually have to ditch his principles and be more adaptive and proactive but, as we know, he's nothing if not stubborn and full of self indulgence. It will be interesting to watch how the season unfolds for his new side and my guess is that any honeymoon period will be very short. I wish him luck and, unless he changes, he will need it.

Good shout.

One of his problems in our promotion season was getting the side to function against a team playing a low block. He'll face that most games at Rangers.
