Russell seemed both defensive and a little feisty in the press conference - defensive in that even he must know he's not cutting the mustard and, feisty buoyed by the backing he is receiving from the owners. Apart from that it was the usual evasive nonsense that we hear every week. Pity the press guys don't do their job properly and instead allow him a very easy ride - I get the impression they are scared of him.

I think Rasmus sits every night with the film Moneyball on repeat and is convincing himself the same eventual, massive turn around achieved by sticking to the process will happen to us. It wont.

The only way Martin is still here next season if we are relegated is if we go down with a fight and a respectable points tally. On the current course there is not a snowball in hell's chance the fans accept another season of him in charge.
-
We'll bravely hold out and, in the 99th minute with the score at 0-0 and the ref looking at his watch City will win a corner. As it's worked so well before we'll stick eleven men in our six yard box and Grealish will play the ball to an unmarked Foden on the edge of the area and he'll slam it into the net with Ramsdale unsighted. Russ will talk about our bravery and turning a corner instead of talking about the corner. Rinse and repeat for the season.

My point about team performances wasn't so much aimed at the entertainment side of things more about fans having to pay to watch a team that is part of a project to suit the owners efforts to make money and which is becoming an embarrassment. Hopefully there is no actual truth behind the theory you put forward.
-
If that is what is happening I would ask, is what we are seeing on the pitch fair on the fans and particularly those who pay good money for their season tickets, match day tickets and costs to go to away games? It's all very well having some weird and wonderful yo-yo plan but the paying customers deserve more or the cost of their tickets should reflect this crazy plan - if indeed it exists.

Listen, anyone who can score 2 goals for this shit, badly coached and poorly set up team in the number of minutes he's played is some sort of elite striker.
-
Because as far as SR is concerned there is nothing to announce.
-
What experience did they have in elite professional sport because I am struggling to work out exactly what they brought to the table? They have shown themselves to be almost completely inept in every aspect of elite professional football that's for sure.
-
Over on The Ugly Inside they're saying Russ is safe because he's part of a 10 year plan and that comes direct from Dragan. If so it again proves the incompetence of our owners - I mean, who makes a 10 year plan for a football team these days unless it's the owners of a lower league team that have ambitions to reach the Premier League? You can't have a 10 year plan if you're already in the Premier League - maybe start with a survival plan and see where that goes. Still, might as well extend Russ boys contract to ten years and be done with it. Happy days.

He'd potentially be a good shout for us if we could get him. Famously masterminded a 6-1 thrashing of Roma by little FK Bodo Glimt. Would certainly introduce a strong work ethic and up our fitness and mental strength.
-
I'm not so sure. My hunch is that they plan to stick with him until at least the end of the year regardless of results. Hope I'm wrong.
-
Unfortunately the idiots running the club decided it would be a good idea to give him a 3 year contract before a ball had been kicked this season. We are being run by the biggest bunch of amateurs with zero clue between them when it comes to running a football club - however, they are the best when it comes to ruining a football club. Semmens has much to answer for.

How can you possibly leave Mike Dean out!

Fixed that for you.

They can't run one football club let alone four.

Poch realised that the team needed to be ultra fit to compete. The current manager and coaches appear not to think the same as players don't seem as fit as other teams. No excuse for that.
-
It's spelt Low and he was with Tuchel at Chelsea and has also worked with our Ralph who rates him highly. Has never been a manager always an assistant. Strange one if it has any truth.
-
RM knows he's not the sharpest tool when it comes to coaching - that's why he hides behind this philosophy of wanting to play possession football. It's nothing more than a con and a smokescreen to cover his shortfallings.
-
Either shirt tugging is a penalty or it isn't. Taylor talking about consequences is bullshit because nobody knows what the consequences would have been without the shirt pull - maybe Vardy would have missed and Tall Paul would have scored, maybe vice versa, maybe they both score or both miss - in other words nobody knows so it's irrelevant.
-
How about defending a last minute corner and leaving opponents unmarked on the edge of the box giving them a free shot resulting in 2 goals and the loss of 3 points? It is absolutely ludicrous that Martin has presided over this mistake for a second time in just a few games and says a lot about his limitations.
-
It has happened before so,on that basis, you can't possibly exonerate the manager. Yes, players take some blame but they have clearly not been drilled enough or they wouldn't repeat the mistake.
-
You're comparing apples with oranges - the guy who had some success last season was operating in the Championship which is clearly the ceiling for his ability.
-
If not he's a fucking good pick-pocket.
-
I'm even more curious that you can give a penalty for a handball without consequence but, according to Taylor, not a very blatant shirt shirt pull. It seems officials are being allowed to make up rules as they go along. Howard Webb needs to look into this and make a statement because it's a ridiculous situation.
