    Ruben Selles

Have to disagree with you because I think Bednarek is awful on the ball. He dawdles and takes way too much time enabling opponents to press him into lumping the ball in a blind panic. If you are trying to play out from the back he is the last person you want receiving the ball from the keeper or a team mate.
  2. Leicester 1-2 Chelsea
  3. Ruled out by VAR
  4. Yeah, Everton now 2 up.
  5. Feels like a day when results are not going to go our way.
  6. Yeah, they certainly peaked in the second half against Liverpool 🙂
  7. Why don't you contribute some comments instead of the confused faces all the time. It's getting boring now.
  8. Well if he's been with us for over five years he hasn't exactly made a difference so can't imagine he'll be missed.
  9. If only we could strive to start a game half as fast as Brentford tonight - a fantastic example of how important it is to fly out the blocks. We never do it these days.
  10. A good coach should be able to mix it up - horses for courses. As to us now being a high pressing side, the jury is sill out on that for me. We don't press anything like as high or aggressively as we did under both Poch and Ralph in the early days. I'd like to see us revert to the aggressive high press because it's when we look our best and give opponents more trouble plus the five subs rule helps when players tire.
  11. Gary Neville and Graeme Souness going at each other like a couple of kids - hilarious 🙂
  12. Different rules for red cards for the big boys. Compare that to DCC tap on the back. Ludicrous. Not even a yellow card shown.
  13. Backlash coming next week 🙂
  14. Better to lose the ball further up the pitch than close to our goal surely?
  15. Don't agree with the booing but can understand fans being nervous when we start trying to take short goal kicks. We know we aren't good enough at it and Leicester's players knew too - it was a recipe for disaster. Until the team are drilled sufficiently in training to play out from short goal kicks and look comfortable doing it then it's probably safer to hoof it.
  16. I think Alcaraz was involved in most of our good play in the first half so his early departure due to a self-inflicted injury meant we lost that impetus because Moi was not a worthy replacement.
  17. A better performance than I expected so fair play to him. Still wouldn't start him against Man Utd but I guess we don't have a long list of decent options.
  18. Tell me how you can argue with my comment or else describe their shots on target.
  19. Sulemana has a lot to learn about the correct time to press. He generally sat ten yards off his man and didn't press until the ball was at the players feet. He needs to learn to be on the move to close down before that.
  20. Yesh, can we play teams in all blue every week 🙂
  21. Maybe because they didn't have a single shot on target.
  22. 6 points from 3 games 2 of which were away represents a very good return for Selles. It wasn't pretty but they all battled for him. A long way to go but at least we're giving it a go. The football is still poor but results are more important than performances so well done for today. Couldn't really pick out any individuals it was just a gutsy team effort.
  23. Sulemana needs to join in the press - he's sitting back and letting Leicester get out.
  24. Better than anyone we've got.
  25. I see the great Grimsby couldn't even beat Carlisle today 🙂
