Slight contradiction here in that he says he doesn't worry we're getting cut adrift but doesn't look at the table.

No excuse now with 5 subs available.

I'm afraid Selles is a coach who believes you need to set out to stop the opposition rather than going gung-ho from the start. I don't see any evidence that he'll change this mind-set.We are always better when we start high tempo and take the game to our opponents. He'll scrape the odd win but invariably we'll go behind and lose.

This x 100!!! I have been watching Saints for over 50 years and the conclusion I have drawn is that we are not and never have been a side that does well when we start games slowly. Our best performances, almost without exception, have been when we start fast and go at the opposition from the first kick. We have always been a team that likes to attack so let's do that rather than try to keep it tight from the off which rarely works for us.

If we ever appoint Steve Bruce as our manager I'm done with this club.
-
I'm sure Rasmus has been tracking Potter for months and has algorithms and spreadsheets on him pasted all over the walls of his office.
-
Another Sunday wasted for Semmens having to travel to London when he could have been at home with his family.
-
Keeping it tight then changing it rarely work for us because strangely enough we are useless at keeping it tight. Better off going for it from the start - it's always worked best for us and we rarely get much if we don't go for it from the first whistle.
-
He's done ok but ok was never going to help us out of this mess with the dross in the squad. Having said that I'd have liked him to have really gone for it from the first whistle in every game but I don't think that's in his DNA. Get someone new in for next season but, under no circumstances, allow Rasmus Ankerssen and his fancy algorithms and spreadsheets any say in who we appoint.

It was actually an even game and they won it because we were too negative from the start and gave away our usual free header from a set piece. One day we'll score with a free header from a set piece...or maybe not.
-
Negative starting line-up cost us I'm afraid. You have to go all out for these vital games and we didn't. West Ham were poor and Selles paid the price by giving them far too much respect. Think we could have nicked that with the right starting line up
-
He's very poor and wouldn't get in any other team in the Prem.
-
Our one hope is to get the next goal - not confident we will but, if we do, they'll get very nervous.
-
Usual free header for their goal.
-
Wonder how long they were kept waiting to see the triage nurse.
-
Burnley finding out how much work they'll need to do in the next pre-season.

Still get the feeling we are being coached too negatively. I get the sense that they are having drummed into them the importance of not making mistakes and the players are too scared to try anything risky but that changed today when we had two goals to claw back. It was like a switch had been flicked as we threw caution to the wind and went for it. Do that from the first whistle and we'll give ourselves more chance of winning games.
-
He is badly let down by his inbuilt negativity and fear to set us up to start on the front foot and attack. We are poor defensively and always look better when the brake is taken off as it was today at 3-1 down to Spurs. This fear is what is killing us as a team. Ralph was largely the same after the scars of two 9-0 defeats.
-
The only thing Moi did was give the team a massive lift when he went off.
-
Lack of self belief and courage partly due to the way the manager sets us up and asks us to play. Too scared of conceding then, when we are 1 or 2 down we have no choice other than to play how we should play.
-
He should smash all of them like that.
-
Strange, we seemed to carry far more of a goal threat after Elyounoussi went off - coincidence I'm guessing.

Battling point after being 3-1 down and after losing both our centre backs. Probably needed more but fair play for the come back. Nice to score twice from open play.

Us, Bmuff and one other.

Goal difference isn't going to be a factor for our relegation.
