  1. So why appoint an independent committee then? Why not just make their own judgement?
  2. Don't be a chump. The EFL have no business taking sides.
  3. How is that in any way comparable to the EFL doing it?
  4. Maybe he needs to be called as a witness at the appeal 🙂
  5. But isn't this just Simon Jordan's opinion and his best guess at what happened. Not sure he's claimed it actually happened as a matter of fact has he?
  6. Confused. Should this read Tuesday evening rather than Thursday?
  7. The point is it's pretty well acknowledged that this sort of thing is rife so it'll be fairly difficult to keep it quiet if others have done it because the severity of yesterdays decision brought this misdemeanour front and central. Can't see how it can be swept under the carpet if all and sundry know it's going on as seems to be the case.
  8. This shouldn't influence the appeal panel's decision. Their objective should be to decide whether or not the punishment of expulsion is too severe.
  9. Yes and I hear the panel are said to be of a higher legal standing than the first lot. Whether that goes for or against us is another matter.
  10. Not sure parking for Wembley will be one of the criteria in this that prevents the appeals panel from reinstating Saints.
  11. This is how I read between the lines.
  12. I think it's more a case of Parsons letting the EFL know that we are fully aware this goes on wholesale. If we have proof so much the better.
  13. Money talks so never going to happen.
  14. The fact that we have yet to sack Eckert or anyone else should have zero influence on how those judging the appeal come to their decision. Absolutely zero because it has no relevance.
  15. I've handed in my resignation due to rank incompetence would have been good.
  16. Would you prefer a less experienced panel for the appeal?
  17. We already knew that 🙂
  18. Do we know what time the appeal hearing starts?
  19. Thought I read they've already dug up their pitch.
  20. For what?
  21. Think this whole affair will have left a sour taste and all our decent players will already be considering their options away from this football club. They'll feel like they've had the piss taken out of them and won't be keen to stick around. It's a rebuild for us I'm afraid and just when we were building a decent squad.
  22. Well is it?
  23. I think suing us would have been a better outcome for Boro. They'll lose on Saturday after missing chances and running out of steam and be left with nothing other than many people thinking they hadn't earned their shot at the final in the first place.
  24. Unfortunately the statement fails to acknowledge the existence in this case of Gibbo's Law.
  25. Oh dear. It gets worse.
