From what Tony Mowbray said he's a way off being match fit. He talked of possibly arranging a friendly at the end of the international break to give him a run out. My hunch is that he won't be match fit until sometime in October and that's assuming he shows no reaction to the achilles injury he suffered.

Well the originator of this thread spelt lone incorrectly - come to think of it with this window we're probably all Loan Supporters so maybe it was a Freudian slip.

It's all being held in a trust fund and we're not allowed access to it until we are promoted. Hope they know what they're doing.

Great player but this is my concern as well. We have a crucial run of tough games and I wouldn't want to be going into them with Che gone and his replacement on the treatment table. Even when fit he'll need time to get up to speed. It's a tricky one because he does look exactly the sort of striker we need.

Think ABK and KWP will be gone.

Unfortunately, as sensible as this is, we all know it won't happen. Be prepared for the usual last minute departure(s) leaving us scrambling to find replacements leading to the inevitable panic buys.

I would suggest AA is not a replacement for Che as proved against QPR and Mara is not yet good enough. If we rely of one striker in the role that Che plays that's a huge risk if said striker picks up an injury/suspension or loses form.

Andi Zaqiri from Brighton - has good movement and scores all types of goal. Rak-Sakyi from Palace - very quick and a bag of tricks with an eye for a goal.

This is my issue. Whether Che goes or stays we need 2 good options for his role. For me if he stays we need to sign one striker and, if he goes, we need to sign two. I don't think we currently have anyone at the club good enough to play what I would call the strikers role apart from Che. The QPR game highlighted this - we tried AA up top and it was hopeless but improved marginally when we brought Mara on and dropped AA back. Unfortunately Mara is not yet good enough so, if Adams stays we still need a decent back up striker to cover when he is unavailable.

Yes, another of many scenarios. I guess we'll know soon enough which one comes to pass.
