  1. He's young so more money and more Premier League experience. If West Ham go down they'd be forced to sell him and he'd probably have a release clause anyway.
  2. West Ham now 3-1 down - looks like they need Fernandes 🙂
  3. It's fairly obvious the big boys are going to wait and see how Tyler does for Everton. If he does well they'll be gathering like vultures next summer and we won't have to wait long for our sell on percentage. Also wonder if his agent will insist on a release clause. This all smells like a stepping stone type move.
  4. Mind you, they've started well. Cracking goal!
  5. If West Ham struggle tonight they'll be back in with a higher offer for Fernandes that's for sure.
  6. Not going to be easy for the lad because now he has the added pressure of a huge price tag round his neck so the Everton fans (not known for their patience) will expect to see instantly exactly what they've spent £42m on. I wish Tyler luck and, if he does well, we'll get the chunk of sell-on money.
  7. But they have bought potential. Tyler is 19 and yes, he has bags of natural ability but remains to be seen how good he will become. I'm delighted with £42m including add-ons and a good sell on agreement.
  8. Think we've pretty much pulled their pants down with this deal for a 19 year old who is more potential than finished article. Guess we'll see over the next couple of seasons. Good business for us as far as I'm concerned.
  9. Agree with this line up.
  10. If true this sounds like madness.
  11. I think Mads will be on the bench.

    Will Still

What a refreshing change from Russball and his blinkered one-method approach regardless of the opposition and type of players in his squad.
  13. Not sure he's all that from what I've seen and the Leicester fans certainly don't appear to be unanimous in championing his ability.
  14. I think the other thing to factor in is that this guy comes across as a terrific pro who takes his game really seriously and, in the words of the great Russ, will work and train like a beast. Will Still has regularly stated that we want good players who are also good people and, judging by the views of the Brentford fans, this guy ticks all the boxes. Think he's going to be very popular with the fans once he hits his stride.
  15. All I'm saying is that I think this guy will provide more solid defensive cover than KWP who, let's face it, was excellent going forward but not the greatest at his defensive duties. Ok for you to disagree without suggesting I'm on some kind of illegal substances so calm down ffs.
  16. I remember when Brentford were promoted to the Premier league I knew little about their players but this guy always stood out as an uncompromising, tenacious full back who didn't let much get past him.
  17. He'll be a better and more solid defender than KWP without a doubt. Less flair going forward but sometimes it's handy to have a defender who actually defends.
  18. I'd call it a big upgrade myself but it's all about opinions. We'll see I guess but I'm sure this guy will become a fan's favourite in short time.
  19. Not so little, he's 6' tall 🙂 Love this signing and pretty sure he'll be our best defender by a distance. He comes across as a really good team guy and seems 100% committed to being the best he can so looking forward to him slotting seamlessly into the side and making us more solid at the back. Super bonus signing right out of the blue so credit to the recruitment team for getting this over the line with minimum fuss. Brilliant stuff!
  20. Great to see a happy squad - the difference is we know they've been trained hard in terms of fitness and it is already showing plus things Will Still has said allude to him being aware he inherited an unfit squad of players that needed knocking into shape.
  21. Holiday camp having a laugh and kick about with his mates aka players.
  22. I can believe it because some Rangers fans claim he has said this about their opponents. That's the arrogance of the man - he only plays one way so why would he need to know how their opponents play.
  23. Amen to this. Spot on.
  24. But isn't he a midfielder? Isn't his job going to be as a service provider? For example who provides service for Mateus Fernandes in our side? I'm confused and it's probably me being thick.
  25. Why? How many players thrive with bad service?
