  1. Has Rasmus made any comment on our promotion? He seems strangely quiet.
  2. I always think the key for promoted clubs is to unearth some unpolished gems that turn out to be diamonds. They tend to be well within budget in terms of transfer fees and wages. Clearly it's not easy but I'm sure Mowbray has been clocking up the air miles and will have a few names in mind.
  3. I recall that St Marys was built with the option to add rows of seats but the cost was pretty high.
  4. Wages would likely be the issue. He'll be on a fortune at Arsenal. Think we have to aim lower than the top 6 Premier clubs - apart from their youngsters of course 🙂
  5. This is a fair point and it must be incredibly difficult to strike the right balance. On the one hand you have the team spirit and camaraderie which has been built during a successful campaign - that is an element that cannot be bought but it can easily be eroded.. On the other hand you have the clear need to strengthen the squad and integrate new players to help cope with the higher demands of the Premier League. It's a really tough conundrum.
  6. What a cop-out 🙂
  7. Come on then Einstein - have a go yourself instead of sniping from the sidelines. No need to be so condescending - I made a few suggestions and you didn't like them. Get back in your box and chill out a bit.
  8. I noticed that the linesmen were more inclined to flag all offsides rather than wait. Maybe they were Championship officials so less used to the VAR process of waiting and letting VAR sort out any marginal issues.
  9. Got any names in mind?
  10. So you want a goalkeeper who has never been dropped. How much do you think he'll cost?
  11. Signings; Trafford goalkeeper from Burnley Max Mittelstadt left back from Stutgart Romeo Lavia midfiled loan from Chelsea Jobe Bellingham attacking midfielder from Sunderland Jack Clarke left wing from Sunderland Bojan Miovski striker from Aberdeen
  12. West Ham will aim higher than Downes as first choice in midfield. If he's happy to sit on their bench he might stay there but I get the feeling he wants to be playing. My view is that, if he wants to stay we'll sign him. I just don't see him as being high on West Ham's list of priorities.
  13. I've criticised him as I am entitled to do. No apology necessary. I've also praised him. I call it how I see it so nothing to be sorry about.

    Had a solid game today.
  15. Fans of every team that win something sing this to be fair. It's a given that you'll hear it.
  16. RM got the tactics spot on today. Yes, we can play better football but we've now beaten Leeds 3 times this season with less possession than them. If we'd played our normal possession style we might well have lost.
  17. e-i-e-i-e-i-o up the football league we go!
  18. Low shot into the far corner earns a 1-0 win at Wembley - opposite corner but shades of the late, great Bobby Stokes.
  19. Well done boys. Gutsy performance but we limited them apart from the shot which hit the underside of the bar - when James hit that I thought it was going to nestle in the back of the net. Congrats to RM and his coaches. Great day for the club.
  20. So far so good. We look more dangerous than them and have created more. Would like to see Aribo given a more wandering role - Wee Man is playing as an auxilliary full back so Aribo has no partner so maybe he should roam around a bit more.
  21. Absolutely. Let's upset Sky's agenda.
  22. Sky bias towards Leeds is embarrassing.
  23. Hoping for a big performance from Aribo. Think he could be one who will thrive on the big occasion.
  24. The glaringly obvious reason for their improvement is the return of Martinez to their defence. He makes a massive difference to them.
  25. Bob Dylan/Manfred Mann Come all without Come all within You'll not see nothing Like the mighty Flynn
