I would swap Alcaraz with JWP to give us more defensive discipline and free up charly to attack, I would also be very very tempted to start Mara over Che to make our forward line more mobile and also more lethal. Also would keep A Armstrong actually, think he has confidence and he works really hard closing down and worked well with mara. However I am an arm chair expert and no practical skillset other than posting sexy croatians.

Have to say i am not going nuts about not having a new striker by end of the window, what i want is more goals coming from the team as a whole. I am happy enough with Mara and Che scoring 6-10 goals each a season if our strategy is to increase the goals from wide men and midfielders as that has been our biggest delta since Mane and Tadic etc. If our tactic is to have more clinical wide men and midfielders who can score then i'm all onboard especially since those guys will have the ball more during a match and can get in more positions than a striker, especially on the transition which Jones is trying to get us on more with aggressive pressing and direct passing. I just think its easier for teams to defend strikers as they will always know where they will be on the pitch but harder for wide men and attacking midfielders especially on the transition. Hopefully this new batch will change that, starting with smashing villa today.
