I remember when we used to see the team and then be able to work out how we were going to play.
-
I dunno he's a northerner who likes the north. It might be a great career opportunity but I gonna guess this is a no from his wife.
-
Won player of the year in the academy system as well which has to be rare in Ajax. Seems like he has some nice clubs interested

Really good article and detail amigo, finally a player that doesnt over elaborate. 'He is not your stereotypical ‘tricky’ winger and is more akin to fellow countryman Ivan Perišić in the way his primary concern is finding an effective and efficient way to either cross for a teammate or shoot." Also Bruno Petkovic is a fucking tank.

To be fair I've followed him on loan for the last year and a half and at both previous clubs he has done well and was missed when he left. He's seems too good for League 2 i guess so will be interesting how he gets on in L1, I hope he does well the lad deserves a good opportunity be it with us in pre-season or elsewhere and hopefully for him its not just in the north west. Carlisle/Tranmere and Morecambe - does he he have some side piece up there or what.

Destroyers are welcome all ways, he didnt score too many goals up there but he was good at rating spaghetti.
-
Armstrong and Moi currently in our team played and scored a lot of goals in the SPL, unless someone is ridiculous like Van Dijk its a no from me signing guys from there.
-
This will be interesting cos based on his normal position he will replace Eodzie which is classic southampton replacing our most promising attacker with a new player what about the righthand side and striker !!! If Jones is still going hoof ball tomorrow then i am sorry Im done with him

Just been looking through the Argentinan papers https://www.ole.com.ar/futbol-primera/racing-carlosalcaraz-benfica_0_mhUpSpAGmc.html And they say with Alcazar that Benfica/Wolves and Us are interested and have contacted his agent to understand his conditions etc. Apparently though nothing further has come from Benfica yet (depends on Enzo Fernandes i guess) but Racing are demanding 15m euro's or 13.2m GBP for the player. Seems doable but the only question i have is if we buy this player is as its the off season down there how fit is he or are we going to have another 6 weeks before he's EPL fit.

Can some one who fancies themselves as a FM legend explain what formation they'd play and how it should attack and defend to optimise this group of players. Reason i ask is I think the midfield is too weak to screen the defence and too passive to feed or create attacks who themselves are toothless. After Che's strike at goal the other night I expect he trotted this gem out

Going out on a limb here but I'd guess Matt Le Tissier

Thanks very interesting

Ben Mee at Brentford has done well. We should probably revise how well Tella is doing then considering he's playing for Burnley.

I'd sack Jones and get who i would of gone for in Nov, Dominic Tedesco who left RB Leipzig. He's got 1.5pts per game and higher from Schalke/Spartak Moscow and Leipzig (inc 1st silverware and knows the multi club system). Players would not have to re-learn a whole new system it would just be tweaked and improved. He also speaks Eng, Germans, Italian, Spanish and French so comms is not a problem.

Its taken a while but someone has provided some useful on here - thanks tall building flasher

Yeah your right, still playing 4 more so far this season but I guess they set up as a 5 when they play the big boys.

Phew i thought i was drunk

100% he's spoken more to the turkish fans than he has to us. The ownership group is making Gao look talkative and there is 3 of them.

Should i comment on this having not watched the video, hmmm i think i will. I think SR in this appointment has been led more by the underlying data more than what their eyes tell them. Its dangerous to rely too heavy on data given the variables involved in football dont correlate as well as regimented sports like baseball, where there are set actions etc. Jones numbers obviously look good at Luton (cos thats all they are going on) and i think how they played in League 1 v Championship has had an overwhelming effect on the numbers. In league 1 luton played free flowing football (not what we are seeing) and scored 90 goals - 10 more than the next best and had a goal difference of nearly 50. In championship luton played hoof ball scored 63 goals and had a goal difference of 10 and ground out wins (comment - jones left in jan for stoke but mick harford had them playing the same for rest of season so I am classing that as jones's team). Now I dont know what is the best way to play in the EPL but having data based on performance in leagues that are 2 and 1 levels below our current one and assuming that it translates is foolhardy in the extreme.

This is interesting and may have a grain of truth. I've just checked and in the championship they played 4 at the back and then 1st year in EPL then went 3 at the back (26 times - maybe this is just indicative of them wanting to be hard to beat in their 1st season) but now Rasmus has left they play 4 at the back.
