Have to say i am not going nuts about not having a new striker by end of the window, what i want is more goals coming from the team as a whole. I am happy enough with Mara and Che scoring 6-10 goals each a season if our strategy is to increase the goals from wide men and midfielders as that has been our biggest delta since Mane and Tadic etc. If our tactic is to have more clinical wide men and midfielders who can score then i'm all onboard especially since those guys will have the ball more during a match and can get in more positions than a striker, especially on the transition which Jones is trying to get us on more with aggressive pressing and direct passing. I just think its easier for teams to defend strikers as they will always know where they will be on the pitch but harder for wide men and attacking midfielders especially on the transition. Hopefully this new batch will change that, starting with smashing villa today.
