Just to point out incase anyone missed it I completely made up that JWP comment on Ben White's instagram - he didnt comment, I just quickly photoshopped it. Dont have a problem either though with guys commentating on each others posts.

When we move the ball forward quickly when it gets to the forwards it then begins the backwards recycling bullshit that lets opposition recover and get bodies behind the ball. Every time we have been crap since ralph joined this has been a consistent feature of our game by our wider forwards, this is not an instruction from him its the mentality of them.

Good article from Prost Intl about everything to do with our current malaise https://www.prostinternational.com/2021/03/15/southampton-just-need-this-season-to-end-safely/

Said it on another thread I doubt Pep could get this lot playing well at the moment. Their confidence is shot, injuries have taken their toll and when you look at our bench it's like we brought a butter knife to a gun fight. Ralph clearly wanted a LB RB cover over winter, KWP was injured shortly after and Bertrand needs time out, that player could of made a difference in a few games. We may not be a 🐖 being fattened according to Gao but this 🐖 is currently on a.starvation diet.

This would be the 4th manager change with the same dross players, am sensing it wouldnt matter if pep was in charge. We need investment asap, ship out deadwood and buy a few players suited to this style football who do not reverse course faster than an Italian tank when a.defender is Infront of them

Poor squad for a while that overachieved last calendar year. When redmond is your first sub to get you back into the game you know our squad depth sucks. Realistically you would expect Tella would come off bench if we had a few better players not start these games but at least he is direct. We are playing like we did before Leicester smashed us, I think the players natural default after a few losses is to be the guy who doesn't mess up rather than win the games. Get the comments about Ralph but seriously who can change a game for us who is fit. Square pegs in round holes doing a job at the mo. Too many players who need a rest to be fresh can't due to injuries and their performances have tailed off.

Southampton are reportedly interested in signing goalkeeper Fernando Pacheco from Deportivo Alaves this summer and, if he were to join, he could usurp both Alex McCarthy and Fraser Forster and become first choice under Ralph Hasenhuttl According to reports from Spanish outlet El Gol Digital, Leeds United and Southampton are keen on signing the 28-year-old shot-stopper this summer, with both reportedly willing to pay the €10m (£8.6m) that Alaves would demand for their number one. The former Real Madrid youngster has been a mainstay in Alaves’ side for the past six years since joining on a free transfer from Los Blancos, making 207 appearances, in which he has conceded 257 goals and kept 67 clean sheets. The football scouting website FBref rates Pacheco highly when it comes to passing, as he scores 95/100 for his passes over 40 yards completed. In the same statistic, McCarthy scores a measly 2/100. https://www.footballfancast.com/southampton-fc-news/southampton-saints-fernando-pacheco-ralph-hasenhuttl-alex-mccarthy

Did ralph address switching this in the city post game ? presume he thought Macca better with the ball at his feet - which he quickly disapproved if that was the case.

Just a FYI Benders led league for outfield players leading to goals last season and currently is the proud holder of our only OG this season, will be interested to see what the CB plan is next season, assumed it was originally Jannik out and Salisu in but Jannik has been very good this season. I am also amused how prevalent the dunning-kruger effect is in forums, myself included always over estimate our knowledge and its easy to forget that those we criticise have the complete picture and real time pressures to deal with in this compressed season which in my view has exposed how important player recovery is to make our style work, taking away recovery has led to the increased player burn out (klopp also has this problem) and further injuries which unfortunately for us this season has been critical since Dec. Get 2 more wins and then plan for next season - also really like what Tella has done in his short stint on the inside left position, lots to build on. https://www.verywellmind.com/an-overview-of-the-dunning-kruger-effect-4160740

Will be interesting, not sure if Walcott is back, how bad moussa is etc etc but with Japanese Messi and Diallo starting along with KWP I can see only a win for us.
-
Given Pep's playful 18-0 comment I would play 1 keeper and 10 defenders
-
I think if Puels teams played exciting fast tempo football that excited the fans it wouldnt matter if he was mute.
-
Send him on loan to kandahar fc
-
The problem he never seems to realise is if it is always someone elses fault that means he can never fix it.
-
He's going to force teams who play high a bit further back as they know he has wheels.
-
yeah fraser was really good with feet and decison making yesterday

I have enjoyed Tella's play when over the last few games, that directness, the pace is such a welcome option at last and complements what Armstrong offers from the right. Keep it up and become the best Nathan at this club.

Diallo quick ball from our midway in our own half to Tella was sublime, was much deeper than I thought when I saw the replay. Che Adams Roy of the rovers to the top left thank you very much
