his ability to take on and go past players in the midfield with body swerves, pirouettes and clever tricks opens up space for him to run into and commit other players who would normally mark redmond, ings etc. he is constantly looking to go forward so is the perfect player to play the same role that Naby Keita had at Red Bull

Irony alert given Kane was given a chance as a young player.

Would love it for Spurs to get their karma payback after constantly lowballing clubs after unsettling their players and watch poch go to Man U and take Kane/Eriksen with him.

Huddersfield v Saints - Build Up Thread
Convict Colony replied to Yorkshire Saint's topic in The Saints
Posted this under the post match thread but thought this article described what we were trying to do with our press last week and the mistakes of the players so relevant for Huds. https://betweentheposts.net/southampton-arsenal-3-2-high-octane-southampton-impress-hasenhuttl-premier-league-home-debut/ -
Saints 3 - Arsenal 2 - I should start threads more often
Convict Colony replied to Secret Site Agent's topic in The Saints
As some one who was stuck on a plane during the game I've just been looking for a good article on the pressing we used and this article is actually really good explanation of pressing. Will also post it under Ralph thread as well https://betweentheposts.net/southampton-arsenal-3-2-high-octane-southampton-impress-hasenhuttl-premier-league-home-debut/ -
Dusan Tadic to Ajax - Undisclosed (£10M)
Convict Colony replied to Feyenoord1908's topic in The Saints
This still going Tadic has a right to leave a job and move somewhere else. This is football not the slave trade. Seriously as a professional your employer cannot make you stay anywhere if your performance dips, it's a tightrope. Tadic is a great player, no pace, but with a team around him can be a conductor in the baggio mold. -

I'm pretty confident he is going back to Ajax in the summer.

A nice article with good video examples of how Ralph sets his teams up. https://www.sofascore.com/news/story-rb-leipzig-tactical-analysis-hasenhuttls-side/ From what I've read I expect this to make Lemina a star in the Keita mode - 90mil move coming up next summer

The Pre-January Transfer Window Thread
Convict Colony replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Will be interested to see who he identifies as can and cant make it as the system seems to be the star more than the players. He may want to see if they can recall boufal as he might suit the style of forward pressing and straight into attack mode rather than the circulation and defend style. Think Austin is done for as is Carillo. Long may survive, not sure about JWP as his chief issue seems to be physicality and playing the killer balls which is what is needed on the turnover. Think we will get maybe 2 in in Jan and try and ship our a couple, anymore could be too disruptive. -
The Pre-January Transfer Window Thread
Convict Colony replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
We will defo go for german based players who can slot straight into our Uber-press system when our austrian overlord arrives Essentially if you have no endurance, no pace and cannot close down quickly you will be uber f*cked in this system from what I have read. -
Think both PEJ and big V are currently doing some extra running. Bet they are the experts in the dressing room on the new manager
-
This has gone very quiet in terms of recruitment - Do we think 6 weeks from Les sacking to new man in position is a reasonable timing
-
I just want presenters on there based on merit not any other criteria. I like alukio (sorry) on the world cup, offerees a lot more than most of the men so keep her get rid of the deadwood men. All these pundits for any sport need to realise they need to bring something to the party, do repeat the obvious or clichés. And while I'm at it boxing commentary is ripe for a change leading up to and in between rounds not good boxers poor commentators

Maybe they are trying to put pressure on another DOF target ?

Ajax are looking to make waves over the next few years, I believe their days of standing still are going to be over. If they get Alderweirld in the summer they will have a very very good team to challenge in europe Edit - I am a ajax fan as well
-
Ajax play with a style we could only dream of, none of managers would play ziyech and tadic in the same team here cos they are "luxury" players. I say give Bosz a chance as he had Tel Aviv and Ajax playing proper football and Cruyff recruited him specifically for Ajax. Anyway ajax team could look mustard next year, they already have Blind back and Alderweied is rumoured to be keen to return.

Surprised he's got kids as assumed he couldnt score anywhere
-
Nuno - Wolves in championship Sarri - Chelsea Gracia - Watford Emery - Arsenal I would prefer a manager who has no respect for the big teams, poch didnt and he changed the whole mindset of the club Hughes is doing a impression of fergie in 1988
