  1. I would suggest we find the best manager employed or not who plays attacking pressing football and sets up his team to try to win not to not lose. Who out there can do this is the million dollar question. I believe Tuchel has been given the nod and is off to Arsenal next year.
  2. I think most attackers struggle to breakdown the opposition when the speed at what we play at would enable an OAP to get back in time.
  3. yeah it seemed to be a more politically correct driven list
  4. Pelligrino wasn't even rated in the top 50 coaches in the world last jan, although a couple of people on that list no longer look good, cough cough koeman, mark sampson !! https://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/fourfourtwos-50-best-football-managers-world-2017
  5. No one runs away from a money pit for too long
  6. Good managers improve players.....
  7. ironic
  8. That had me chuckling and unlike the team you delivered a great performance in your write up :-)
  9. Yeah Branfoot showed how well that worked. Is football about running backwards and stopping goals or going forwards and scoring them ? They are both right but when you lean too much one way you negate the other and for the last season and a bit we have leaned too much on the defensive side as new managers in a league try to keep it tight to not put themselves under pressure. The area Puel failed at was once we were over the hump of the season was not dropping a gear and opening this baby up to see what we could do. Poch and Koeman were more open to going forward as the first line of defence in my opinion. Where we are at now is a manager who likes predictability on his players so he can play formations and set up the team specifically. The issue is that those players cannot breakdown what the opposition is doing to stop us quickly enough to create/scores goals enough, so do we stick (and hope it works out) or twist and add Boufal into the mix knowing he is unpredictable but that will mess up the dynamic of how the other team sets up and create more space/chances for him and others.
  10. Boufal walking into the dressing room
  11. hahahahahahhahahahaha doddislegend
  12. Again with this, how may of those appearances were subs !!!!
  13. I agree whole heartedly, this stinks of fearing loss than trying to win, that is not a winning mentality.
  14. No one is complaining about our position we are complaining about the **** poor style this manager has brought which is exactly the same goal shy boring approach as Puel.
  15. Maybe he gets fined if we have too many players in the other half.
  16. Both Puel and Pellegrino have got us playing uninspiring, goal shy football that values retaining possession in our half or the centre of the pitch over positive pressing, fast transition football of poch which I think everyone else preferred as it was a style we liked, appreciated and the players enjoyed. Les needs to sort out being cheap with managers and try and get one that is actually in a job, he got lucky with Poch.
  17. you know it makes sense #ziyechwatch
  18. Come on D it's too early to bait that hook yet
  19. Pelligrino has not improved us from last season. That is 100% on him as he has at least a better midfielder in Lemina than Puel had.
  20. Am onboard with you monk. #ziyechwatch
  21. Hakim Ziyech ran the show tonight v Sparta Rotterdam
  22. sportsmania has been 100% this season for me, be it football, mma or F1 etc it works all the time, I know as I use it for my daily tv channels. If you need a VPN for a small 1 off fee used Nord as it works perfectly. Currently about to watch my 3rd game of the day on it
  23. Boufal only had 12 sub appearances in the pl last year according to whoscored, it was even funnier that he was rated better than tadic.
  24. 27 appearances is a good stat to support narrative but I would wager about 20 of them has been as a sub. Boufal offers in my opinion more direct goal threat than redmond and tracks back more than him, my opinion of course but if we pick Redmond, long and tadic up front again then to quote the great philosopher Kenny powers I'm ****ing out !!
