The official unofficial January transfer targets thread..
Crazy Diamond replied to SB's topic in The Saints
This thread needs to be a sticky. There are far too many threads as a result of last night's game highlighting XYZ is available or we need to buy ABC. It's ****ing me off to be honest. -
As far as I know I'm not, but I'll get back to you once I have investigated myself thoroughly.
-
It sums up this forum. A defeat and we get about 15 pointless threads. People need to get a grip.

January transfer thread. It's there for a reason.
-
I googled it and nothing came up! Good work timebomb. If it happens again I'll be giving them a bollocking.
-
January transfer targets thread would have sufficed.
-
It's happened again today! This time there was a number given - 01189 733498 - but when I called a woman answered and quite sarcastically told me it was a fax machine calling me and she hadn't seen anyone using the phone. *****. Again it rang about three different times.
-
I'll say it again. We will not finish in the top 2!

The generic loss inspired crisis threads are already online. Brilliant. -
Someone ask Marlon how life is in League Two, he's playing above his abilities...

An own goal from his own half from Joel Ward sends the Skates down and we go up.

Yesterday Dutch media reported he was in talks with PSV but he has said he would like to play in the Premier League. He accepts that he may not get there directly...

His preference according to a report is PSV, but he wants to play in the Premier League. PSV have been tracking him for a long time, which he likes. -

I know it's already been denied but there are more reports of Mathias Jørgensen joining. -

You're not buying the 'deals happen at the very end of the window' statement then? -
Post of 2012 so far.

No. No, no, no. He's had more clubs than a golfer and for a reason.

Might be a controversial one, but given Walcott's debatable lack of progress at Arsenal, did we do well to get as much as we did for him? -

That's not a bad shout at all actually, good one. -
Futacs scored a goal each in two games and Laurence Herdman called it 'a rich vein of form'. Not exactly Robin van Persie is it?

Ah Ricky Fuller. Two memories of him, neither for his football. The first seeing him sat on a fence, he randomly shouted "Mother f*ckerrrrr!". The second being stood in the Northam and a debate starting amongst those around me. Someone suddenly turned around and said "Shut up, it's obvious innit? He's Jamaican, he only plays well when the sun's out". -
That is, in the transfer market. I've not really thought about free transfers that come good for us, more money making sales. Two immediately spring to my mind, but I'm sure the more experienced of Saints fans might remember something from yesteryear. My nominations would be first of all Kevin Davies to Blackburn. Bought for £750,000 and sold for £7.5m plus James Beattie. Ten goals in 82 appearances and in addition to that, no money went to Chesterfield as they didn't negotiate a sell on clause. The other would be, God rest his soul, Dean Richards. A free transfer who turned into an £8.1 million signing for Spurs, probably the one most would nominate I would think. I suppose I'd also at a stretch say £1 million for David McGoldrick, since he's one of the worst professional footballers I have ever seen in my life. No doubt that some will nominate their worst, so let's clear that one up too, it's probably going to be renegotiating the Bale deal and getting Tommy Forecast...

I can remember us being linked with David Norris week in week out under Burley. Thank God that never happened. That guy was just addicted to midfielders.
