  1. It's just missing one of these, with a kid testing it to destruction
  2. ITV's studio in Poland looks like the demonstration garden you get in a Homebase or B&Q.
  3. An obscure name for a sponsor there on the Steve Fletcher stand, 'Your Brand Here'. Wonder what they do.
  4. Again, as I said on another thread, we need this picture... On a sign like this...
  5. That statue is just iconic of that regime and those dark, dark days. I can't think of anything that sums it up quite so well.
  6. Rooney has 17 goals in 20 games when played alongside Welbeck. Still can't understand Milner's inclusion, he was hopeless against France and we looked so much better against Sweden when he'd gone off. Yet more confusion all around that 'hard working' means 'good performer'. It is not the case.
  7. How is Bob Monkhouse's health these days?
  8. When it happens, we need a slogan. Something like 'We've got our club back'. They should also go (all expenses paid) on the pre-season tour, whilst the media team will have to keep someone back in Southampton. It's only fair.
  9. No Warcraft or Final Fantasy around here. We want supporters with lives, dammit!
  10. Oxygen is wasted on the Franchise.
  11. James Milner... 'FML' as the kids say.
  12. Mr. Cortese does not have a desk. He considers them too common.
  13. It was set up by Kelvin McKenzie who sold it and pocketed a big profit. He's now started a TV channel, Sports Tonight Live.
  14. Worst thing is the amount of copycat accounts. There are some who are focusing just on Saints now, and all they do is tweet rumours they've heard from elsewhere and try to pretend it's their own. 'South Agent' for example, who says he represents clubs in the south. Since when did an agent represent a club or a region?
  15. They did it so that they could wait until today then watch the reaction. They're sat with their feet up on their desks and they're laughing right now.
  16. And yet you were quite right. I've been told that I can't compare the drawings to those that Birmingham and Liverpool drew up, as that's me saying that we won't actually go through with it (quite how I'm saying that, I do not know) and I'm not allowed to call them drawings, despite the fact they have been DRAWN up.
  17. Meanwhile in Bournemouth... http://www.afcb.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10324~2816328,00.html "AFC Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell has expressed his dismay after the club's application to resurface and landscape the lorry park to the south east of Dean Court was last night deferred for a month."
  18. Glad I'm not the only one that thinks so. I was appalled at their style of play at St. Mary's. Look at their goals - they all involved an error by us.
  19. To be fair, the Franchise have a stadium reminiscent of the Europeans. A lot of likeness to somewhere in Spain or Greece to be precise, it's not finished.
  20. You're all forgetting that Pogrebnyak suits their style of play, which is horrible and little more than hit and hope. It's little more than long ball. I can see it now, Federici punts it up to McAnuff, he gets it out wide, cross comes in from Kebe, headed down by Pogrebnyak, side footed in by Le Fondre. And that's being generous, you can probably take out McAnuff and Kebe and just do Federici to Pogrebnyak. He's also a fairly big name, which they need in order to attract more plastics to fill their stadium which is being expanded. It's a good signing for them for those reasons. Reading are a JOKE of a club.
  21. Villareal didn't do too badly, semi-finals at the first attempt. They were relegated last season though...
  22. That's nothing. Are you on Twitter? Have a look.
  23. Don't worry everyone, MLG has taken to Twitter to correct people - even when they aren't wrong. I agree. There's only so much you can do but look at the New York Yankees' new stadium. It oozes character. They had a hell of a lot of money to spend, admittedly, and are far and beyond anyone else in their sport, but it shows it can be done. Everything was thought of - look at the frieze here. That's not there for the sake of it, it's a copy of an original 1923 design from the first stadium that the Yankees played in. Character right there, from something oh so simple. The club have made an effort to tart it up on the inside, indeed there have been many changes since it was opened, but really it's nothing amazing. A bit more paint here and there doesn't change what the stadium is - a job that was done to a price, and not a huge price.
  24. As much as I admire you Mr. Turkish, pioneer of the sponge hand market, and kudos on that, we are as big a club as Liverpool, remember? A woman said it on Sky Sports News.
  25. I think I'll get excited when I see the Liebherr vehicles at work. So many clubs have got to this stage and not done it - even Liverpool.
