I've strained mine in the past and I can confirm it's ****ing awful.
-
I will never forget some posters on here who said Jos was crap after his debut because he accidentally headed the ball into the air when going for a clearance. His first game, one error and he was instantly ****e. If Rodriguez starts and doesn't score he'll be in trouble.
-
To be quite honest I'm neither excited as some are, or as disappointed as a minority are. I've barely seen the guy play, and if I had to guess I'd say a hell of a lot of posters on here are in the exact same situation. Highlights on the Football League Show or YouTube clips, or even our two games against Burnley this season just gone aren't enough of a measure either! Wait to see him in the flesh, then judge.

That's definitely Tom on the camera. This is it then, transfer record broken!
-
The prices being banded about for him are moronic, to use the word of the day. £10 million and I dare say about £8 million of it is just because he's had a single England cap. Sorry but this guy is being far too highly rated - though I must admit that I do wonder what he can do in a team better than the load of ****e he has around him at Wolves. But £10 million to see what he's like at a different team? No chance. Someone earlier mentioned £9 million for Cisse, and Newcastle's recruitment model is not a bad one at all. If it means paying way over the odds for even a hint of English potential then I'd rather be signing players from the Eredivise or Ligue 1.

£10 million for Jarvis? Jog on.

Southampton Player Trivia: Anyone know any pointless facts?

Ulrich van Gobbel worked at International House of Pancakes a few years ago and served me. I asked upon receiving my breakfast "You know what I'm going to do?" and he replied "Let me guess, Gobbel them up?". He was wrong, I was actually going to say "enjoy this, as pancakes are a great way to start the day". -
An anecdote, whilst we're in the middle of slagging off a fellow hack, rightly or wrongly... A few years back, some people claiming to have inside knowledge told a sports writer at the Mirror that Paul Ince was going to leave Inter and sign for Arsenal. He'd heard it so often that he thought it had to be true, and kept bothering Piers Morgan, the then editor, about it. Morgan being an Arsenal fan got a bit peeved with this constant talk, and he wanted to settle it once and for all. He got his friend to ring up and tell the sports writer that it was a done deal, 100%. The writer then went to Piers Morgan and told him what he'd just heard. Morgan said "fine, would you put your job on it?" and the reply was of course, yes. Morgan then brought in David Dein, a good friend of his, and of course at the time, the Arsenal chairman. He asked Dein "Are you signing Paul Ince?". Dein answered bluntly, no. What became of that journalist I've no idea. I think though some of you shouldn't be so hasty to rule out the possibility that Everton are in for him, or slag off a journalist for reporting it.

This might be a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway - is he more of an offensive or defensive full back?
-
I would think that if United wanted him they'd have him by now.
-
Well spotted. Blimey, he knew about it two weeks ago!
-
Can't believe I forgot about that one.
-
A slight exaggeration, we've let go a few that were out of contract and not even regulars, plus let a youngster go out on loan.
-
The same Nathaniel Clyne who is DEFINITELY moving to Manchester United, according some of those who know everything about football ever on this forum?
-
Yep. My thoughts exactly. Hopefully something soon.

Skin tight blue jeans, brown winklepickers and a green quilted jacket. I'm having my hair cut short but just enough to do a sort of side slap. Oh and a fake diamond earring. That's how football fans should dress these days. -

Wigley was genuinely stupid though. Clark has more than just two braincells to rub together. -

Not sure how much it will affect them really, the board seem to have final say on who goes. -
Bath is indeed a good place to go to, loved my time there. Go to the Huntsman and tell the landlord Kit sent you. He's a good man and runs a great pub.

I can remember one very weird episode in which this lone shadowy figure stood on a hill and scared everyone to death in the house. One thing I should say though is how good is it to see something that hasn't been messed about with? TinTin for example had all that 3D animatronic treatment ********. This isn't some gimmicky 3D crap, just animated drawings.

Just spoken to a source of mine. "They're def looking to loan him out. Saints would be good option for player and club. Will find out." Watch this space I guess!
