  1. AFC Wimbledon hang them from the back of their stands, some of them are quite good.
  2. Shock horror. Did anyone really think he'd get it, when there are probably a few hundred million United fans across the globe?
  3. I'd argue no, it's not.
  4. The music... Just why?
  5. He's got one England cap and suddenly he's an amazing player. Not so. He's good I admit but I fear people are getting carried away.
  6. No such problems here. On course to break the second tier record of 122 goals in a season... Selected results: Queens Park Rangers 7 - 1 Blackpool Queens Park Rangers 6 - 2 Leeds United West Ham 2 - 6 Queens Park Rangers Queens Park Rangers 5 - 2 Ipswich Sheffield United 0 - 5 Queens Park Rangers Burnley 1 - 5 Queens Park Rangers Leeds United 0 - 6 Queens Park Rangers Queens Park Rangers 6 - 1 Hull
  7. Rumour was last season that we were in for Henri Lansbury but Arsenal were reluctant to deal after the Oxlade-Chamberlain price. Wouldn't mind going back in for him.
  8. New challenge. The 2011-12 season has just ended and after Alex McLeish's appointment failed to save QPR, I take over at Loftus Road and am told "Here's £8m, challenge for the title". Challenge accepted. I've gutted the squad, selling or releasing 16 players, including Joey Barton, Sean Wright-Phillips and Nedum Onuoha to Saints who won the Championship. All three were on £40,000 a week plus and were injury prone. For the assault on the Championship I've got Bothroyd, Zamora and Campbell up front, plus I've purchased some very promising youngsters plus some established Championship names including Glenn Whelan and Ryan Shotton. A mix of youth and experience will be the key, and amazingly, I've spent £10 million in the second tier and am still £500k up having got good money in sales plus £110k free in the wage budget. Highly recommended youngsters: Jake Bidwell, Curtis Nelson, Jordan Copp, Ash Taylor and Conor Coady are all good British players. Marco Vettarri and Guido Pizarro are two fantastic midfielders available for less than £2m each. First match in pre-season, a 4 - 1 win over Everton.
  9. We won it at the first time of asking - they'll have a fair few attempts at it, they're going to be in League One for a while. Maybe even League Two the season after next.
  10. Yeah I'm really not going to take that from a Reading fan. Terrible fans who can only find their voices and can only be seen in numbers when the team is winning or about to go up. **** off.
  11. He ****ing hates Skates, he ****ing hates Skaaaaates, Rickie Lambert, he ****ing hates Skates
  12. Please, never say that name again.
  13. Some big clubs' academies in there. They should be very pleased indeed. Arsenal, West Ham, Chelsea - Charlton aren't too shabby either, I know for a fact.
  14. Nice streak by the Red Sox there until the White Sox decided to win one. I've been told by Josh Chetwynd to only start worrying when May comes around and we're not doing well. Just another day to go then...!
  15. Lallana said that they knew they'd surprise people this year because they had got so used to winning in League One that they knew they'd do it in the Championship. I think a lot will depend on if that mentality transfers into the Prem.
  16. Well we agree on one thing at least. Ever since he was tentatively linked with Manchester United back in Reading's two seasons in the Prem he's been little better than average. Put it this way, I'd much rather we spent the money on Hooper, and he's never played at the top level over here - not sure what being able to do in the Scottish Premier League says over here anymore. Look at Samaras, an absolute waste of space at City after a big money move, scores a few for Celtic.
  17. Crouch was a reserve team player at Villa who were at around that time challenging for European places - I fail to see your argument. I am saying WOLVES and Wolves ONLY are a bad team, and it is not a sensible nor a practical idea to go cherry-picking from a bad team. I disagree. That Wolves side have been relegated because they are a bad team with poor management at all levels. Would you have signed any of Portsmouth's utter turds from when they were relegated? No it doesn't. It rules out Wolves as I only said Wolves. They are bottom of the table because they have the worst squad and as I have just said, have terrible management at every single level. I would have liked a few of their players at one point, let's say Roger Johnson. He looked good at Birmingham for a while, but managed to get relegated with them, has turned up at Wolves, got relegated again and ****ed off a lot of people with mediocre displays and an attitude problem. I certainly wouldn't put him top of my shopping list now. Wayne Hennessey holds the Football League record for most minutes without conceding a goal, but he's proven to be a shaky keeper in the top flight and has come under some criticism. At one point in time, again, I might have thought he'd prove a solid addition. Ebanks-Blake was good in the Championship but I believe we've already got better, Fletcher again, I would have said at one point is a good signing, not all that sure now. Jarvis I'm afraid I don't understand the hype but I'd say maybe a possible signing, Doyle was **** hot once, not anymore.
  18. If we want Premier League quality, Wolves' squad is not the place to go looking. They've been relegated and spent their entire recent Premier League life fighting relegation for a reason - it's an average squad with very little quality.
  19. Again, Clyne, not getting why people want him so much. Thought he was anonymous when we played at Selhurst.
  20. I've always liked Fletcher but have also always thought Wolves overpaid for him and he's never lived up to the price tag. He'll do well for them in the Championship next season.
  21. Am yet to understand the hype around Jarvis. One England cap, which these days proves sod all, though a Wolves fan told me last night he's had a good second half to the season and yes, I do realise he scored twice yesterday.
  22. "Had a camera ripped off me in the mele in on the pitch" - some guys are just so classy.
  23. Just wanted to say how good it was for his song to be sung today despite him not featuring, many had doubts about him but I think in his few appearances we saw great promise from him. I'm looking forward to seeing him strutting his stuff in the Premier League. At full time today, I managed to get over towards the dugout quite quickly and he was sat there, crutch in one hand, with that massive boot thing on his foot. He was just sat there, so I thought I'd sing his song, a few others joined in. He smiled, put down the crutch, hobbled over to us and said hi, which was brilliant. For me, his goal against Derby is the goal of the season too, I'm still in shock now about it! So well done to the man himself and everyone that sang his name today in the stands during the game. Nice to know he's not been forgotten, from what I hear he's been quite depressed about his injury during rehab, so we need to get behind him.
  24. Tadanari Lee at home to Derby.
