Saints Promoted - Post Season Chat
Brussels Saint replied to Red and White Army's topic in The Saints
So happy. There are some tears and it doesn't help when you lot keep mentioning Markus. I'm sure he is watching us with pride and joy somewhere. -
Lets just get it done.
-
Because Adkins thinks he's good and he knows more about football than you, or any of us for that matter.
-
I agree he doesn't, but would he rather lose an election. If UKIP would give it up for a referendum, you would have to imagine 95% of their supporters would vote Tory. He might be tempted, if he senses it would bring a Tory government.
-
Anyone else think that the Tories might offer UKIP a referendum on Europe (in or out), shortly before the next election, if they withdraw? They may calculate that the majority of UKIP supporters would then vote Tory giving a likely majority. I remember reading this somewhere previously that UKIP would consider this, but not sure if its still the case.

Looks more like Le Saux, if you ask me.
-
Lambert, clearly. Then I cannot break Lallana, Jos & Morgan, so joint 2nd to the 3 of them.
-
...............the pens were green.
-
disclaimer*.............some of the events described above may or may not be true.
-
..........now clearing my desk..........seems corporate policy are not on the bus.
-
I've just unpacked a huge new white board and lots of blue pens which I ordered a few days ago..........is it weird to have a stiffy? ......hang on, I'll ask the group of honest hard working professionals I have in the meeting room with me..........

I'm honestly not sure we could ever support more than a 36k capacity, but happy to be proved wrong. Panda's post was interesting and I feel he does make a valid point. So long as if we expand, we do it without raising debt you can make a good case for doing so. Expansion built on any debt for me, after what happened to us, would be utterly foolhardy. The good news is that NC is no fool. He spent most of his career deciding how to risk very rich men’s wealth and by all accounts was quite good at it. If we do expand, you can believe it will be built on a fully researched business case rather than some whim.

Rule 1. We expect your report on the Post Match Thread.........feasibly could bring the server down, if promotion gained as well.

Brian McDermott being disrespectful
Brussels Saint replied to jasoneuelllfanclub's topic in The Saints
I have a feeling we were saying similar things about the Saints last season. I did not feel we were being disrespectful to Brighton, as it was the truth. Don't get the issue. McDermott, compared to many is pretty humble. -
Clyne - Highly rated and would be good to bring in and develop further (competing with Stephens longer term) Davies - A good CB who will challenge our current group and has pace I believe After this I struggle a bit. From what I've seen so far in the NPC I dont really prefer any of the keepers to Kelvin (even Green), though Schmeichel is young enough to develop. Many mention Matt Phillips, but honestly RM is the one position I'm hoping NC will go big on and for 5-10m I think we could do better. Zaha as some mention would be interesting. Adding a 4th striker to Lambert, Sharp & Lee, I would like to see us go overseas rather than the NPC as pace is needed. Rodrigues, Vaz Te & Hooper even don't really add much to what we have or seem likely to make a big impact in the Prem. One thing you can be sure of however is that NA & NC will likely not go for many of those we mention and will spring a few Jos & Lee types on us.

Would someone please post a picture? My PC crashes whenever it goes on the Echo site.

Lallana is an excellent player, but for me he needs to play with more ego. He needs to be the player that other fans cannot stand, but honestly every fan from other clubs have nothing but good things to say about him. Too nice a guy on the pitch and it detracts from his effectiveness. I seriously wish he was more of a c*** and spent his time demanding the ball as he has a burning desire to make the player marking him look like an arse. To me he comes across as a guy who just enjoys playing football rather than being better than everyone else. If he was a horrible little sh*t I think he would have a greater impact.
-
I think Adkins will start Guly for this game. He trusts him (and no matter what we think he knows better than us) and Guly's extra height at defensive set pieces will get him selected imo. I think we might win this one 1-0.

This post on that thread did make me laugh: Line-ups: Lamberton - Cheat, Diver, Diver, Cheat, Diver - WHO?, Diver, Cheat, **** - Cheat, Lambert Reading - Time-waster, Time-waster, Cheat, Time-waster, Left-foot-deadball-specialist - Pi**-taking Frog, Cheat, Time-waster, Time-waster - Fouling lump, WHO? 0-0. Big moment late in the 2nd half when a football match almost breaks out. But both sides quickly revert back to type. Yaawwwn. I'm completely not offended and it did genuinely make me laugh....

Club Finance Story - On Solent from 7am this morning
Brussels Saint replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
The Saints finance guy is worth a listen to if you ask me. Certainly talks a good game and this news overall seems very positive. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17547804 The club feels like its in good hands and most importantly we are not in debt. Reading between the lines does it seem that Pardew got about a 1.4m payoff? -
Exactly..........Kenny gets the sack and Liverpool come calling. NA is a Liverpool man and I guess would be hard to turn down. The history, the size of the club and the fact he is a fan, I think he would probably want to take it. We want Liverpool winning games...............
-
Come On!!!! Time for a 2nd Billy.........lets take this away from them. Happy.

If you were writing a banner for pompey, what would you put on it?
Brussels Saint replied to kwsaint's topic in The Saints
As someone already said on another thread: "Goodbye and thanks for all the fish" Quite good. -
Love the fact that we are concerned about losing Lee for this game and may have to rely on 1.8m Billy Sharp, one of the divisions proven best strikers as his replacment! Win or lose, we have come a long way from the not too distant past. Thank you Markus & NC. A simple sentiment and I hope they knew/know how much joy we get from what they did.
