Sorry Steve, I don't have a premium account. But try this........ http://spotifyinvites.org/ You may have to sign up to a life of spam so I would suggest using a disposable mailbox such as one of those listed here..... http://www.sizlopedia.com/2007/05/27/top-20-temporary-and-disposable-email-services/
  9. You giving that a thumbs up LV? If so I will check it out. PS. How about doing a mixtape?
  10. Like it or not, the hand of God cheating incident is one of the most memorable moments in world sporting history, and will be a talking point for many years to come. I think that's a good thing. He cheated. He got away with it. We felt aggrieved and hard done by, but I'm sure the rest of the world laughed and though good luck to him. You say that the technology wouldn't be used for every dodgy offside, 50-50 foul etc, but you don't know that. You have no idea where we would end up in 20 years time. You mention cricket as an example of how technology works in sport but let's be honest, cricket is as dull as ditchwater. Tennis is the same. I laugh when I see cricket fans watching a big screen to see if the video umpire will rule someone in or out, it's hilarious because it's pathetic. Keep Pandora's box closed and keep technology out of football.
  11. I hadn't read this thread for a while but I have just caught up with it all. I have to wonder if perhaps 19C has managed to hack GM's log in details?
  12. I hope you're under 5'4" tall.
  13. I would rather spend a Sunday afternoon as a guest of the US military in Guantanemo Bay.
  14. I'm liking this. I haven't got anything by Bonobo since 'Dial M for Monkey' which seems so long ago now.
  15. How's that mixtape coming along Depps?
  16. You couldn't resist could you?
  17. I totally agree. This whole technology debate is aimed at the fan on the sofa and is fuelled by a media who see themselves as having a part to play. Sky would love it....... I can envisage a time in the future where offside decisions would be decided by viewers at home pressing their red button (votes would cost £1). To the fan at the game, football is theatre. Yelling at dodgy linos is part of that experience. The media and armchair fans should NOT be determining MY matchday experience. Keep technology out of football.

  19. What happened with the stewards? I don't remember any trouble.
  20. Have no fear young Jedi. Like you, I admire Manji's encyclopaedic knowledge of music but I fear he has an issue with elitism. I worry that this may manifest in a reluctance to appreciate the views of others. I suffered the same affliction in my youth; when DJing I would put masking tape on record labels so no one knew what that killer tune was. I even wrote misleading information on white labels and I would laugh inwardly when people told me they couldn't find them. I thought other people's opinions of music were irrelevant unless they had a copy of some obscure tune or other on vinyl, and it had to be on the original US label not the reissue. Fortunately I have now opened myself to extreme possibilities and I appreciate my daughter's opinion that Justin Bieber is a modern day Debussy. I want to see a Deppo playlist. Now get to work.
  21. Cheers Deppo, I thought he hadn't done any. I have found one, it was the second ever SWF mixtape. I'm having a listen now. It's jolly good, especially the Blue Cheer tune. By the way Deppo........ when are you doing a mixtape? Come on mate, no excuses.
  22. Mixtapes have been around a lot longer than Spotify and Ipods. I agree that most albums should ideally be listened to in their entirety; but certainly not all. I despise 'Best Of' albums and collections but a mixtape can be a useful introduction for people to new artists or even genres that they may not be familiar with. I'm sure you have some label samplers in your collection. As for a list of albums that you rate very highly........that would be lovely!

  24. I have really enjoyed the diverse selections of tunes on offer so far in the Mixtape series. We are now starting to see some 'part 2' mixes but there are quite a few regular music posters who have not put their names forward to do a mix. I was chuffed to see Copey has finally put his name down and that is one I can't wait to hear. But there are some other posters that I'd like to hear mixes from, such as: The Stain. Deppo. Manji. Harvey. Redbul. St Landrew. Exile on Main Street. Saint Bletch. Dog (Can't wait to hear Red Octopus and Penis Extension). Who would you like to hear mixes from? Use this thread to put forward some suggestions and apply pressure to those posters who we would like to hear mixes from.
  25. This wouldn't normally be my cup of tea but I have really enjoyed your choices. It has been nice to get out of my usual comfort zone and get into something a bit different. Thanks!
