Another pertinent question Exit. Surely the Swiss are in the same position as Pinnacle as indeed any potential buyer would be? The FL's contract would be the same for whoever wants to buy. Until we see the wording of the contract we can only speculate as to what hoops the League require us to jump through.

Pinnacle paid. We know that for a fact because they had exclusivity for 3 weeks. Or are you inferring that someone paid the money to Pinnacle for exclusivity in return for involvement with the bid? If that is the case, what is the problem? Who is paying the lawyers and bean counters?

Didn't exclusivity 'cost' £500k? Add on lawyers fees, bean counters fees etc for the last 4 weeks.... That has got to be getting for for £1million.

Good post Exit. There is no logical reason why anyone would go to these lengths without being serious about buying the club. I think that some posters on this forum need to look at this situation from a logical, reasoned standpoint. Some of the theories being put forward are laughable such as Pinnacle have no money - To complete due dilligance they would have had to prove that the funds were available. Or that this is an elaborate hoax - The Hitler Diaries were a hoax. Cost= £0. So far Pinnacle have stumped up about £1million. Now as much as I'd like to pull off a legendary hoax, I certainly wouldn't be willing to spunk that kind of money to do it. It has been hinted that the money is coming from MF's 'community', because MF has serious connections within the Jewish community. This seems a likely scenario to me. The hatchet job being perpetrated by members of this forum and the lazy journalists at the Echo has managed to create a frenzy that is beginning to border on the vitriolic. There is even a slight undertone of anti semitism creeping in. I find this bitterly disappointing and it makes me ashamed of some of my fellow fans. I want us to be united for the first time in years but I am beginning to think that this isn't possible. I truly hope that this deal happens and happens real soon; not because I want to see egg on the faces of the naysayers but because I WANT MY CLUB BACK!

There seem to be lots of people on this forum shooting the guy down in flames already. Why? Because it's not Ratcliffe, Lloyd-Webber or Rod Stewart? Or perhaps because all the nudge nudge ITKs got it wrong? Or maybe because you've never heard of him? This is absolutely laughable. He has already stumped up more cash for our club than Wilde & Lowe. He is spending big cash on lawyers right now to try and ensure our club doesn't get shafted by the FL. He is prepared to make MLT chairman and let him handle the football side of SFC. He is going to dip into his pocket and INVEST millions of £££s in our club to try and get us back in the premiership. That sounds like a dream come true to me!! Why can't you all give the guy the opportunity to prove himself? He is obviously serious about going through with buying the club, otherwise he would not have put himself in the firing line by appearing on SSN. It seems that the default setting for a lot of Saints fans is now 'whinging'. Is this what we have become? Get behind the MF FFS!

Slight technicality....... He said that the players are southampton football club. ERROR. The fans are southampton football club! Other than that, TL came across very well. He obviously has more than one foot in the door; statements on OS, meetings with players at Staplewood. It all seems positive still. I think that the negativity that is starting to creep in on this forum is attributable to the amount of time it is taking to clear up the FL sticking points.
