  1. Bit sooner than i anticipated tbh.
  2. This is the first word we have had officially from SFC for sometime, including this morning reference Adkins. At no point did SFC claim it was a done deal with Adkins, all guess work by the media which appears to have been led by the scunny chairman. i will keep an opened mind.
  3. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2148505,00.html
  4. Perhaps the Adkins deal falling though is a blessing in disguise. No official info from SFC thus far does not mean Cortese is the bad guy in all this. Scunny seem happy to carry out their business through the media,so a little onesided thus far.
  5. Its dead in the water,Adkins is taking training with Scunny as we speak.
  6. SSN talking to a scunny journo..."good news for scunny that Adkins staying, spoken to chairman..scunny wanted a certain amout of compensation,Adkins would not resign, being a man of principle,"
  7. Not THE Tony Lynam of Pinnacle fame surely?
  8. SSN..SFC have 'pulled' the offer to Adkins, due to compensation offer.
  9. And perhaps Adkins is not overly commited to joining us.
  10. As long as he comes in with someone else,as i reported a couple of days ago keegan was to join him and work in tandem.
  11. I will now go for ...Shearer/ Keegan. If not,Zola/Clarke.
  12. Well that was fun while it lasted,i thought he would be here for 9 months,a tad optimistic it seems.
  13. This news has devided some of there lot and to others comes as no surprise... http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=460&fid=12&sty=2&act=1&mid=2120215979
  14. I suppose it would be wrong of me to hope the deal falls through.
  15. I am led to believe this is not the first time he has done this whilst going through the process of installing our new manager/coach.
  16. "If it were to be Adkins unveiled as the new manager firstly he would have to resign from S****horpe. Until we hear of such news i thiink it is more unlikely to be him." I posted this a couple of days ago,not exactly in the same context as it is meant now,but i always believed he would have to resign.
  17. Is it going t1ts up already? I gave him 9 months, perhaps that was a little over optimistic. We are not covering ourselves in glory at the mo,imo. If,of course this is how it seems.

  19. Ahh, a blossoming and fruitful relationship begins. This bodes well for the future.
  20. Possibly quite right, but taking us forward from there? I wonder if his capabilities will allow him to take us even further?
  21. But is Cortese? The scunny chairman and fans alike were probably overwhelmed by the success he had given them and quite rightly,he did well for them(besides one relegation). But here is a completely different ball game, expectations are ten fold compared to his last job. I suspect scunny are exceedingly happy being a championship side occasionally flirting with relegation,us however? I still regard this as a short term appointment, but good luck to him.
  22. Good chance of of getting out of this league as anybody probably, from there...i'm not convinced, that is my only criticism of the appointment. It's all about opinions is'nt it.
  23. Good luck to him. Would'nt surprise me if we are back on the managerial merry go round in 9 months time however.Hope i'm wrong.....
  24. Meet you all back here in 9 months time, imo.
  25. Good luck to him, however i don't feel this appointment is the one to take us forward.
