Wright was a great aquisition i will agree. But were they not all part of a squad that ultimately 'failed'. I am not meaning to be confrontational in anyway but cobbling a squad together with loanees is not,imo,progressive and just gives me the impression that the attitude of ' i'm not that bothered aint my club' so i can bog off and go missing in games when the going gets tough. All imo.

Loans are not commited to the club or the cause.We have,due to financial restraints,had to rely heavily on loan signings the past few years,the number of loanees amongst our ranks has swelled considerably. I personally think this fact has also contributed to our dramatic fall from grace. All Imo.

I am concerned and dissapointed that,as yet,we have not secured the services of centre half,pacey winger and a centre forward. We lack depth in those areas primarily,but in general the squad is lacking pace and strength. We are weak and lack the ability to maintain a lead,we will concede many more than we will score. All IMO.

Well,results thus far are not indicating any major upturn in form. The dispaly against Brum was good,but it appears we have learned nothing when it comes to holding onto a lead and getting a positive result....Swindon,Stockport are they going to up there for the playoffs?

He needs to start to turn his pre/post match Inteviews,that are viewed by many as 'the best they have heard from a Saints manager in a long time' into getting results. Thus far we are not very good and show no sign of improvement. Cue the 'he hasn't had long and missed pre season brigade' We could be here at Xmas trotting out the same wait and see mentality,we need results...now.

Agreed on the NVQ front,i did shed loads of work for my NVQ 3 and too be honest it was only made mandatory by work because external sources told them to make us do it. Any new employee has to sign that they won't leave within a certain timescale as it costs our company a fortune to fund the staff to take the NVQ,if they leave just after completing the aformentioned NVQ the employee has to pay a substantial re-imbursment. Best thing i did was to get city and guilds qualifications and then get kept on for a diploma,it opened so many doors for me and gave me the best career in some superb establishments.Employers in those days were banging down the doors of the college to take the best students.

Todays qualifications are a complete waste of time. They mean sod all. Complete massaging of figures and dumbing down the lack difficulty of 'passing' the exams themselves are the priority it seems. From GCSE's to NVQ's.....all made easy.

Superb prefromance tonight,really enjoyed it. Some delightful football on display by saints,everyone played their part. I think if Murty had stayed on we may well had got the result i really felt we deserved.
