Errrr no, have you seen Sports Republic’s track record over the last 4 years?
-
This radio silence is almost as piss poor as the decision to cheat in the first place. The only defence seems to be they might be unable to until the FA investigation finishes. That’s not good enough and the issue of recompense can be done regardless. To offer a 14 day refund on Wembley and official travel is quite frankly pathetic and shows how out of touch these pricks are. Any saints fans out of pocket should be up in arms, but as a fanbase we are collectively too passive.

Good old Boro, made my day that did. Mcburnie will never need to buy a beer in Southampton again. Poor old Pompey, so irrelevant now they won’t even be the first fixture most of us look for next season now. BTW that winds them up when you tell them that.
-
That was fucking sweet chaps. I celebrated that as if it was Saints. Give Mcburnie the freedom of Southampton. Now we can start to heal. I can’t wait to see those cunts next season.

State of this fucking final makes it even more of a joke we got thrown out for spying!
-
The sad thing is they are trying to say it is. And I’m not even joking.
-
Fair comment. On the balance of probability thinks he’s a cunt.
-
Why is there even a vote? There is less than a 0.1% chance he will even be allowed to stay, and we should be considering it even less then that. 1.) every player currently on the books thinks he’s a cunt. 2.) a large proportion of the fan base think he’s a cunt, on the evidence available so far he is the most culpable for giving us our worst and most embarrassing moment in our 140 year history. 3.) We can't move on it he is here. 4.) Every press conference after a win, did you cheat? 5.) if he is some superstar how fucking stupid will we look when he eventually leaves for a better club, if we stick with him?

EFL Championship Minus 4 points (AKA The Rebuild)
Thripp87 replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Dyche was available when we sacked Ralph. If we had got him in then we would have never suffered the first relegation. Let alone the 12 point disaster. -
I’ve just looked back at all my Leeds photos and videos, that was a mistake. Tomorrow is going to be tough to watch, not sure I can see or hear that game tbh. Im still currently in the anger stage, purely at us and our own stupidity, and continued radio silence. I did have a brief spell yesterday of positivity, that we will recover and be back. The order has been shock, denial, anger, embarrassment, positivity, anger, acceptance, sad and anger for me so far.
-
And still radio silence from Solak. I am starting to think the next update we will get is the marvellous news that season tickets have been frozen. Absolutely incredible the PR currently.
-
If it couldn’t get any worse, Bet Victor have a certain John Mousinho as second favourite to be the next Southampton manager.
-
I meant the first leg. I think they announced it on the Thursday, possibly Friday.
-
And the very next day they announced it anyway themselves, remember thinking it was odd they shared that so blatantly at the time.
-
My sole gripe having read that report is the EFL referring to sporting advantage. That’s what they have given Middlesbrough by reinstating them, at the expense of Hull who were preparing to play us. I think I would be at ease with our expulsion now if it just meant Hull had a walkover. We deserve it for putting out that defence. How is Asterisk still on the books?
-
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out which EFL chief executive wants us to lose our parachute payments next season. Gibson has moaned about those for years! I wonder if he forgoes his when his side go down with 10 points next season.

I can’t believe people still want Tonda to stay, and some even want Parsons to stay? To move on from this it needs a complete reset. They have literally brought the club into disrepute through complete stupidity. They have single-handedly given me the worst feeling I’ve had in football in almost 40 years. Besides this the FA will take that matter out of our hands. People seem worried we won’t replace Tonda. It does not need to be a generational reset, the vast majority of players who leave would have left if we lost to Hull regardless. We will still have a competitive side next season. The footballing world will soon move on from this shit storm, starting next weekend when Boro steal promotion and Hull become the story, Sunday we will see Spurs or West Ham in the same league as us. England will fuck up the World Cup in less than 6 weeks, people need to realise this is fish and paper next week to the footballing world. We have every opportunity to re build and go again and we will still be a decent option for good players because we can still offer more money than our competitors in this league. Sponsors will soon come back, again, we can still pay for them and money talks. I know it doesn’t seem like it now but we will win more games than we lose next season, there will be laughs next season too. People will hammer Boro when they get smashed every week next season if they go up, rightly pointing out they shouldn’t be there. The club can re build, but it needs to with a complete reset. It also needs to offer fans more than a 10-14 day refund on play off final tickets.

He may not be a talented manager, and we have no proof now he is. He should be referred to asterisk, and that’s being polite.
-
Alex Crook really is a prick, claiming the players will be branded cheats now. You can’t even use that word in the same sentence for them after this shit show. Tells you all you need to know when an ex Pompey player is saying it’s ridiculous (o hara) and I see Merson has too.
-
Tonight’s verdict really has made a statement of intent to stamp spying out of the game…..up to 73 hours before kick off.
-
This is just common sense to you and I and any sane individual. I don’t work in PR but the first thing should be recompensate fans, and not just for Wembley. You watch them hold onto the booking fee too. Complete lunatics out of touch of all reality. The second sentence should be announcing an internal investigation with those accountable facing investigations. Neither of that was in that statement.
-
Why has nobody been sacked yet? The dickheads still can’t get it right. We expect more refunds than just Wembley.
-
The whole narrative is wrong. Sky sports now, it has to be done quickly. No it fucking doesn’t. Make the correct decision. If it means Sky lose their showcase final, then so what!
-
That statement from Parsons is a fucking piss take. Has he missed the point we may not have beaten Hull? Not one comment in there about recompensating fans for this fucking stupidity. We all know the sanction is harsh, nothing in there of any relevance at all.
