I can only assume he has a preference for a big centre forward to lump it up too, in which case we would be better getting Nathan Jones back. Well more entertainment in 1 game than the entirety of last season, a great end result and nice to see some decent celebrations at St Mary’s coming from us for a change. I state this point genuinely. Are fans entitled to any sort of refund under consumer rights acts for this season? This is not unprecedented, indeed Sunderland fans were offered a refund in the good old days when we beat them 8-0. Out of all the issues I have with SFC this season the silence and treatment of the fans who continue to pay hard earned cash to watch SFC is the biggest insult. Say we have 18,000 season ticket holders paying £600 on average, surely the club should be looking to get some goodwill back and refunding 50%, an approximate cost of £5.5m. To ignore this an say nothing is an absolute disgrace, I can’t wait to see them all face the music at the fans forum. £5.5m is absolutely nothing for a club due over £100m for failing in the Premier League. On that particular subject if I was the chairman of the Premier League I would be bringing in a minimum standard moving forward that has to be met to qualify in the future, much in the same way a boxer doesn’t get their purse for abject failure.
