Clueless as ever. I wouldn’t spend a penny in January. The season is over already and we have nothing left to play for other than getting 12 points and beating Derby’s record.
-
Scenes after yet another defeat are pathetic. We go around acting as if we are fortunate to be in the league and on the same pitch as city. We’ve been in the prem about 25 years. We’re not Luton town ffs. Russell is literally creaming himself post match. Someone needs to tell him we lost, again.

Are we getting a new manager after this game?
-
Well, let’s start with the positives. Met Le God outside before kick off, a nice reminder of when football was worth getting worked up by, secondly a good introduction for my 6 year old son to what it’s like to support Saints. Onto the negatives. That substitution to bring on Fraser instead of Taylor is on a par with some of the worst tactical decisions I have seen. Martin clearly has no plan on how to turn this around and you can see that with the random decisions he is making. Onachu suddenly brought in (actually one I agree with) and then Sulemana straight in ahead of Adam Armstrong (ridiculous). He’s not basing these decisions on anything other than desperation. At the same time, the one he does need to bring back in ABK is at home doing nothing. Let’s be realistic, the only thing we have to play for now is to beat Derby’s points total, that would be more embarrassing than the 9-0s. In my view now it is utterly pointless going for Potter and Moyes, neither would touch us so I would just give it to Lallana now until the end of the season. We are so poor and inept we have literally soiled our underpants to Abdul Fatawa. He could walk past me in Tesco and I wouldn’t know who he is.

It’s very simple what Russ needs to do, but he will get it wrong. Lose today and we end up with the lowest points total in Premier league history. Leicester are an absolutely horrendous side who are still relying on an OAP upfront. Ramsdale KWP. THB. Jan. Taylor Downes. Lallana Dibling. Fernandes. Archer Onachu
-
4-0 is a par result. Hopefully it’s a lot more so we can force the hand of Dragan to remove Russ. With no game for two weeks there is no real need for Arteta to ease up. I am regretting laughing at the Pompey fans all week at work following their Stoke result.

What’s the actual point in sacking Martin when Rasmus will end up just appointing some cheap foreigner? If it’s not Moyes or Potter it is a pointless decision to make.
-
Likes of Fulham seem to be doing a pretty good job of it.

How I see it. 1.) Martin has to go, he won’t get us Derby’s points total. He played a load of small men up top first half which meant we had no out ball against a well organised pressing side. Potter or Moyes need to be the options. 2.) the body language of the players first half looked awful, they had thrown the towel in. Winning the second half means nothing as Bournemouth had taken the foot of the gas. 3.) That useless yeti who came on at half time and occupied the left wing is a disgrace. 4.) spare a thought for the fans trying to get back with no trains after that crap. 5.) our so called better players, Downes and Sugawara both poor tonight. KWP has to play every game regardless of contractual issues. 6.) Charlie Taylor about the only player who had a good game.
-
The problem this evening is I don’t even think Bournemouth see us as a big deal anymore. They used to get over excited and choke on their big day out, reality is they are better than us now and I for one will be amazed if we can even get a draw.
-
Don’t worry folks about the 95th minute equaliser, I hear that Bednarek has extended his lead in the pass completion stats this weekend so we have reason to be cheerful.
-
Don’t mind the look of the back 4, but KWP has to play. I would actually play him further ahead on the wing. He would be much more effective than Diaz there.
-
Absolute bankers today. 1.) lots of useless possession 2.) Ipswich will win to nil 3.) the so called Northam wall will be a morgue.
-
We do have some good penalty takers after all.
-
I would personally give Russell the Ipswich and Leicester game. If he loses both of them then the writing is on the wall. There is no chance of a Moyes type replacement which is exactly what we would need to stay up in this league.
-
Whilst I fully agree with the first half of your point regarding Captain Calamity the second half is not the answer. Ronnie Edwards looked like way off the pace against Cardiff, as has THB thus far. Our best option is now ABK who simply has to be reintegrated into the team for the Ipswich match. Lose that and we won’t make the Derby points total.
-
We won’t get 11 points this season. Another premier league record incoming for us. 4 at the back hasn’t worked, fragile as anything when they come forward. A professional striker backpassing a penalty doesn’t help either.
-
I’d also question whether there was a temperament issue with him. Sent off from coming on as a second half substitute on his Flamengo debut, fresh from his red card against Lazio.

Official: Jan Bednarek signs new contract until 2027

I’d imagine the scramble to get tickets for Big Jan’s testimonial will be on a par with Oasis. There will be plenty of dynamic pricing involved that’s for sure. -
With no sign of him leaving we need to start reintroducing ABK to the first team. If it means captain calamity is further down the pecking order then it’s for the best.
-
If Aribo is anywhere the line up clearly Martin has learnt nothing. Why do our fans still persist on singing his silly song also?
-
might be a bit of a fallout with cardiff this year too. I remeber last time they came here some gobby welsh boyo in a pink top got smashed up at chapel arms pub!!
-
I would be more than happy to finish top half and above the skates, which is more than achievable with the addition of 3 good championship players, (like danns an cork). I dont think Cortese will be too concerned with this either as we are aiming to be in the prem in 5 yrs from the outset of his tenure. In terms of the teams to challenge at the top I would expect West Ham and Boro to be very strong alongside Leicester and the likes of Bham, Forest and Burnley. Surprise package: Cardiff, genuine relegation candidates if u ask me alongside Coventry, Watford and Pboro

dont even think we need to pass comment on prats like this today, think only the positive about players that have actually done something for this club. Not as if hes gonna be getting anywhere near our Championship squad anytime soon!!
