  1. Yes, slight favourites over Millwall. Middlesbrough pushed out based on playing us. Whoever wins our semi final will be the favourites in the final.
  2. A great opportunity for us to get back up. We are rightly favourites and have a lot of advantages being the form side and play off/Wembley experience We were also a totally different proposition to when we played these 3 sides earlier in the season, be it under the useless or Still or before we switched formation and settled the side. We should be confident and positive to win the first tie, none of this take a draw talk.
  3. Not celebrated a goal like that Wrexham equaliser in a long time. The thought of a home leg second is seriously on here. And it’s at 8pm.
  4. Ridiculous line up. He’s running Scienza into the ground to avoid a 12:30pm kick off at St Mary’s.
  5. 3 posts a day isn’t enough picking out the holes in the drivel you post. You’ve spent all evening arguing with me, when you said yourself earlier in the thread you think we will make 4-5 changes. You’ve then posted stuff implying it’s paranoia yet at the same time have some concern around the disadvantage of a 12:30pm home leg compared to an 8:00pm home leg. Not sure I follow that one myself.
  6. Interesting stats, thanks for sharing. I looked at European ties as a better reflection because they should be more evenly balanced. 3rd and 4th place sides should progress over a 25 year sample more than 5th 6th, because they should be better sides, hence finishing higher in the table. In some cases there will be a decent amount of points separating 3rd and 6th for example. It has nothing to do with home legs being played second.
  7. Quick google on that will tell you. Over 12000 games over the last 50 years in European two leg games, home side in the second leg has won the tie, not match, 53% of the time. So the perceived advantage is minimal. Rest the players, win the home leg well and we will be fine. i honestly can’t explain this point anymore on here, and mboto George Mrs must be lubing herself up for him as we speak so I feel I better leave it there so he doesn’t miss his opportunity replying to me on here.
  8. Can you please explain why it matters where we finish in the top 6? We are pretty much guaranteed to be 4th or 5th?
  9. I already stated that the team would not be this, that’s what I would prefer it to be for the reasons I’ve outlined. It will not be full strength by any means but obviously won’t be this. Did you miss that point?
  10. The same Haaland who was rested Saturday, until Pep felt he needed him?
  11. So do we go up if Peretz gets injured or not?
  12. This is the same Tonda who I told you in November after 4 games was a cut above, and you were the first to cry that he hadn’t been tested against anyone. I dare say it’s the same Tonda you wanted sacked after Hull at home too. You’re clearly not that bright, the context for resting players was outlined in my original post. It’s a requirement in my view based on the ludicrous fixture schedule we have had to play last month. It is incomparable to the Leeds away game in the last promotion season as the weeks before that was an ordinary schedule. People commenting on the likelihood of injury in training compared to a game clearly haven’t played the sport at a good standard. Likelihood of injury is far more in a competitive match. Tonda isn’t stupid and will play somewhere in between a strong side and mass changes. The point remains that you don’t seem to be able to answer. If Peretz got injured against Preston we don’t go up. It’s that simple. If that scenario played out Tonda would get questioned as to why risk him. The same people claiming mass hysteria are the same people praying we make 4th to get a 8:00pm kick off instead of 12:30. I know what I think is more mass hysteria.
  13. People seem to have a fascination with having the second leg at home just as much as I do resting players for Preston. Who gives a shit? Win the first leg at home 3-0 and the second leg is irrelevant anyway. id far rather not risk someone like Peretz, who without we won’t go up, in a meaningless match at Preston.
  14. Personally don’t see the debate. We’ve played a stupid amount of football in April. Tonda should make 11 changes. If we lost Peretz, Scienza or Larin we wouldn’t win the play offs. long jelert quarshie u21 wellington Edozie Bragg Romeu archer sesay oneuyke
  15. Appreciate not an easy sell after last night. That said, I have two spare tickets and travel for 2 from Eastleigh Fleming park, 5:15am. Open to offers if anyone fancies it?
  16. Great advert tonight for the Championship, and FairPlay to Ipswich for still going for the win, hopefully they go up now and get out of the way. Top performance again by Jander who was the best player on the pitch. Let’s keep the players fresh now. 11 changes required for Preston, totally irrelevant which leg is at home first. Tonda and these set of players have been fantastic and have made me fall back in love with the club again. Just left us with too much to do with the useless Mr Still. Bring on the play offs, and another Wembley trip.
  17. Lots of fuss about shite seats and good seats. Who cares? We’re not expecting anything from the game, it will be nice to go to Wembley with relatively no expectation and be a part of it. Used to love the Dell and I could hardly see the pitch by the Metabo advertising boarding as kid in the family enclosure.
  18. Taking my son to his first away game for this one. Just hope it’s still all to play for by the time this one kicks off.
  19. God Will Still was shit. Tonda would have won us the league easily if he had the whole season in charge. Superb to a man today, every single player who started or came on made a positive impact. Roll on the push for top 2. If not, it’s another play off win to look forward to.
  20. Peretz is different class. Best keeper we have had since Niemi. He makes such a difference. Deal needs to be done yesterday to get him in.
  21. So since Tonda came in, most points, most wins, most goals, highest xg and most shots on target in the division. Yet still people moan at Tonda. Very odd.
  22. Surely bankrupt Leicester won’t be paying his ridiculous wages? Never rated Aribo, lovely to see dross like this out the club. And even better news we won’t hear that silly song we sing for him whenever he appears.
  23. I think when Downes piled in and caused the melee 100 yards from danger it turned the game. We looked good at 1-0 for 10-15 mins, well in control and Fratton was worried. That cameo got them and their players more up for it. You could feel a bit more energy. All in all a fair result between two poor sides.
  24. Deserve what you get for agreeing to it in the first place.
  25. Like him or not, Stephens needs to be the first name on the team sheet for this. About the only one I would trust to get his head in where it hurts. Obviously needs 4 at the back. Thank God no Bazunu going to Fratton Park. People clambering for Romeu must be mad. Would happily take a draw.
