  1. Stoke was closer for me but it's just a 20min train journey into Brum so happy days and as I currently share an office with 2 villa season ticket holders bragging rights are at stake!
  2. Finally got my 6 tickets. Another home game for me!
  3. Wouldn't bother normally but we are using Corky's corporate season tickets so it's a freebie. I would imagine we'll sell them out easily enough as so many would never of been to OT before. Looking forward to Wigan far more.
  4. Just finished Song of Achilles which won the Orange Prize. It was utter gash BUT it did encourage me to dig out my copies of the Iliad & Odyssey.
  5. There was always the the danger of him being totally off the pace when he arrived into the speed of the EPL. It's taken time to adjust but he clearly has. Perhaps if we hadn't left it so late to get a CB in we'd have picked up more points early on.
  6. I'm afraid you just strike me as a totally and utter co.ck so I don't really give a sh.it what you think.
  7. Guly could be he stand out player on the pitch & you'd still not see it as you've nailed your colours to the mast and will not accept anything else other than he's sh,ite.
  8. We do look stronger at the back without him but look weaker going forward.
  9. Morgan is an absolute beast!
  10. He's getting better and better. Thought him awesome at Stoke.
  11. Thatcher. Mandela. George Bush Snr.
  12. Millwall (A). Best away I've done in decades and watching my 10yo nipper going mental and ending up 4 rows further down then when he started was wonderful. I knew we'd go up then. Palace (A) was pretty special considering how close to the disappointment of the skate game it was. A really professional performance if front of the huge, very loud, away fans. Did most away games with him, bar Posh as that was a school night and loved every second of it. Ironically my lad's continued success at playing sports in 2012 is removing our opportunities to see Saints in the flesh, despite season tickets, in 2013.
  13. Will have added 3 more by the end of the season I believe.
  14. So none want cheap tickets to see 2 of the top 6 clubs lose to Saints?
  15. Only black and blue in the hoodies left!!
  16. If you ask the kids they all want their teams to play like Barca and Spain. In the long term that's got to be good. Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk 2
  17. Once they turn 9 (I think it is) if they sign for an academy and are usually then not allowed to play to play for a kids team. Was a 8yo at my nippers old club who was picked up by Utd but it's about 50miles to Carrington, which he had to do twice a week, so I contacted Wolves for them, as I've friends there, and they snapped him up instead. Signed for their academy on his birthday but and now only plays club games in the top of the table games and then only if he hasn't played an academy game that week or doesn't have one within the next 5 days.
  18. Next season, once SRL has gone.
  19. Friend of ours has a 6yo lad who was training with Stoke 2 nights a week and Wolves 2 nights a week. He's now only training at Wolves as he didn't like the Stoke training as much but Villa have asked if he'd like to train with them. Wolves pay for a taxi to and from their academy for the lad and his grandfather. He's also been given 2 season tickets for his dad (whose a Wolves fan). He's been doing that for a year already. He's heads & shoulders better than any kid I've ever seen. 100% natural 10yo lad who plays with my nipper turned down Stoke as he doesn't want to be a professional footballer. Stoke watched my nipper twice but he decided he'd play football for fun and concentrate on his cricket but one of the dads at his county cricket is a academy coach at Port Vale and wants the lad up there (his nipper is there as well) but I've said no. He'll have plenty of chances if he's good enough and doing 2 sports at that level, as well as all the school work, is way too much.
  20. I'm in that position with Rotherham, Colchester & Oxford. Plus Hereford and Luton dropping out of the league.
  21. I thought you'd be chuffed with Arsenals revival cu.ntychops.
  22. He'll go in the summer.
