  1. I think Corp needs to speak to his "well placed source at the club", who he sees socially every two weeks or so, to find out what's happening regarding Maradona signing after the WC. Is it still on alongside the Riqualme signing? Will they debut open the new stadium?
  2. Fair enough and I can see where you're coming from but for some, and definitely not all, the time certainly, IMHO, doesn't fit the crime.
  3. Think of it this way. What disorder was there apart from some idiots lobbing stuff and shaking a fence? If there had been any other serious disorder in and around the garage surely it would of A) Been included in the charges. B) Been mentioned in court. C) Been included in the press releases put together at Bitterne nick by the CID team investigating events. The OB set out to catch a genuine hooligan element and ended up bagging a bunch of barmies, all of course, IMHO.
  4. But that simply isn't true is it or the fellas who laid into the Yeovil fans that were on the deck would have (and should have IMHO) been sent down as well. However, you are correct, IMHO, the they are being made an example of.
  5. Fella I work with is a Janner and he reckons they're worse than gash and haven't a pot to p i s s in.
  6. Here fishy fishy. It's a nice juicy worm.
  7. Dry your eyes skate.
  8. Couldn't put it better myself.
  9. According to our resident nazi sympathiser's logic a wall was not necessary at pompey as the 30 odd jail sentences dished out after the 1-0 meant that we could have and should have all been let out at the same time as those sentences would have meant that at skates wouldn't want to get involved in any trouble. Us scummers would have just melted into the crowd and there would have been not an iota of trouble, according to Stanley, oops, I mean Dune.
  10. Using his logic regarding sentencing acting as a deterrent the raft of custodials handed out to the skates after our 0-1 loss should have meant that we should have been let straight out after the later drubbing as we would have all rubbed along merrily. I wonder why then we were kept if for ages? I wonder whether it could be to do with Dune talking out of his @rse again.
  11. He's not too bright, on a wind up and clearly wasn't at Fratton Park.
  12. I don't think that's the debate Jamie. The debate is whether the time actually fits the crime and IF the crimes in themselves could have been curtailed with better policing.
  13. Don't forget Dune is an expert on feral yobs as he goes on National Front marches.
  14. Very true but it's no accident that I posted on the thread, when the Echo first ran the story, what the charges and sentences (if convicted) would be, or would be pressed for, as I'd been told by someone involved in the case. With the exception of the longer term for the fella with previous I was pretty accurate.
  15. You'd have to be pretty feeble minded, or Stanley, not to be able to work out why the OB set up the fences, stood around with their video cameras and let everyone out at the same time. Unfortunately for them they didn't nick any of those they wanted to get because they weren't dumb enough to kick off outside the ground. Stupid idiots for getting involved but I don't believe they deserved jail time. Those that kicked that Yeovil fan in the head whilst he was out cold did!
  16. Team death matches are over too quickly though. Demolition, sabotage and HQ can give you games up to 20 mins long.
  17. I once flew back from Gib in the back of a Herc and had a pee off the ramp onto France.
  18. I've a netgear cable wireless router and it's developed a really high pitched whine, worse than Dune, that my nipper and I can hear but the girls can't. My speed has dropped to 18mps and I can't connect my PS3 to the PS network. Is there anything I can do to fix it or is it a case of binning it and buying a Belkin? ta muchly.
  19. And there in lies the crux and the reason why some people haven't got the money to hand and therefore can't renew. It was a huge mistake to give no notice of the withdrawal of the facility at the same time as giving only 28 days to renew at the discounted price.
  20. Least we forget.
  21. And we both know not all of the private sector redundencies were neccessary. We both know that some companies used the crisis to "rationalise". Still, you keep up your blinkered and dogmatic and plain wrong attack up Johnny, makes you look real big and clever, honest it does.
  22. Wrong. The "job under threat" letters went out in Sandwell last week and have already gone out in Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton & Staffordshire. The team I work with in Sandwell have already lost 10% of their number and at least another 20% will go by September. Not through wastage, through redundency. More will be coming on top of that. The same is true in Wolverhampton. Never let the truth get in the way of dogma eh Johnny.
  23. Care to show any thread where I make comparisons or mention pay? I don't because I can only do my job in the public sector so I cannot compare pay and I appreciate that I am well paid for what I do. I also understand it's a choice I made. I could have used my degrees to work in finance on 4x my current salary as some of my colleagues have done but my choice was not to. My/our support staff are paid no more, and since single status was introduced often less now, that the privare sector. Where the public sector is paid to much is at middle management and above. They are often perfect examples of the Peter Principal. We all make our career choices yet some small minded people seem to think it's demeaning to be working in the public sector.
  24. Had done to me when at Rook. Like yourself we just dossed in La Linea. Some lads lived ashore in Spain as it was cheaper and more interesting than the rock and it happened to them every couple of months or so. Personally I think Gib has been sh*t ever since they opened the border.
  25. Plenty of jobs shed in Sandwell and more on their way including compulsory redundancies but you keep on with the crusade Johnny as we all know that you despise anyone who works in the public sector. God forbid those like myself actually want to help people by being teachers or nurses.
